Another question real quick too...what program do you use for your timelapse videos? I use Premier Pro but that seems a little time consuming.

I use quicktime for recording real-time videos. And I use a app called ScreenNinja when I want to record time-lapse videos. What a walkthrough of how I create speed art videos help out to make in the future?

Are the vector shapes you use made in illustrator first, and then exported?

It depends what I'm making. For more complicated shapes I use illustrator and simple shapes I just make inside of Photoshop. I don't even export though. I just copy from illustrator and paste into Photoshop.
