Thank you ! I wonder why you made basic adjustements on the whole image ?? Thare are only 2 "subjects" here: the cat and the background. So, manipulaire one part, then the other, no? Moreover, a good idea would be to show us a 100% image when you work on sharpening/color grading the cat or it's eyes. MfG
@ThePhlogPhotography4 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment! I always do some basic level of adjustments globally to prepare the image for masking in the next step BUT thats just what I prefer to do. You could totally just only use masks and get the same results! Its just about what you like more :-)
@ehtishamhaider262423 күн бұрын
Just a last touch. Make a subject mask then intersect with a linear mask so that only the left bottom side is masked. Then you can play around with light and contrast to decrease the tonality’s to add a sense of depth and tone separation, as the cat is looking a little bit flat

My lightroom would freeze and lag a lot with this amount of masking. I have a beefy Windows machine I reckon. I wonder if it has to do with just editing one picture on a single catalog.

I would have added in some masks to add some shadows in the cat and make it also have some depth However, learnt a lot. Really interesting edit

I don't get why adjust the Blue Primary would affect the cat color so much, why???
@ThePhlogPhotography4 күн бұрын
The calibration settings can get a bit confusing. Basically the blue primary hue also affects the color on the opposite site of the color wheel, so in this case the orange cat :-)

Photoshop oder Lightroom welches ist besser?
@ThePhlogPhotography4 ай бұрын

@BR_Photography.3 ай бұрын
thats unfair, you clearly made dark tones a bit gray when you show the final image at the end of the video. Something you did not do through the tutorial. I already have some experience and my eyes are pretty formed. But for a beginner it will possibly leave some question marks. At least you could specify this aspect.
@BR_Photography.3 ай бұрын
even the circular light effect is softer. Now Im curious. Is it light that after saving the photo from LR? Or you really made the change i mentioned above? Dont take it as hating, I just specify for the ones that are looking through comment section
@ThePhlogPhotography3 ай бұрын
Thats simply because I always edit the image two times for a video: 1. I need to find the right look / settings for an image and once I found it I write the adjustments I did down to then (2.) start recording the video with a "fresh" iamge (this makes the video more "flowing"). Now what this causes is I dont place masks at the EXACT SAME positions as in the previous edit and thus the final image might look slightly different
