In the early 90s it was easy to get that jersey with all those signatures. I watched the USA team play in Portland Oregon in 1992 against Canada and they did those signings.

Yup!!! Because it was the national team and because the Gulf War had just started, these guys were so accessible to the public and sponsors etc.... And to be honest I think it's fake. Especially since it came from a charity auction, with ZERO certs??? Nope. Worthless
@MarkLada

@aaronstar8232 It's not fake.. Somebody bought a jersey at a dream team game, and had them sign it before or after the game.. My brother and I both bought jerseys and had them signed at a game.. Goes to show no matter how much we cherish the things we collect... they might be an afterthought to our loved ones once we pass on. It's almost as if there's more to life than hoarding stuff. Of course other people are not going to value the same stuff you did, and it's arrogant to think people should. I collect stuff and I'm excited for the day when my kids can sell it and make some money off of my passions. Why should I force them to keep all my crap that they don't care about? The whole point of a collection is that you like a certain thing more than you like money, but ideally those items should still be able to be traded back for money in the case you need it or you die. So it's like you still have money, but in the form of something more exciting than bills. Money can be fluid like that if you're smart.

I wanted to comment on the signed jersey. I purchased a Reggie Miller signed Jersey at a charity event at late 90s to 2000. The players donated the signed jerseys and there was never a coa bc the jerseys came from the players to raise money for the auction. Also jerseys are harder to sign and the signatures always very slightly because of the material they are signing on. And signatures change over the years as well. But good find. And good luck with selling it. I would keep it though.

The first CD pressing of Ride the Lightning was in 1986, in Europe. 1987 in US. Even in 1984, most of the CD's were still samples of the technology, stuff like "this is denon CD', or 'audio test cd-1'. Michael Jackson got pressed on CD, Beethoven and about 5 other artists. I showed up to one for some stupid event where they had me listen to heavy metal with headphones on for their entire wacky morning show to see if I would kill myself. Well I didn't and they gave me a whole bunch of albums that they never played on the station anyways, including Metallica, a few Ozzy albums, iron maiden and I forget who else. They all had gold stamps on the back that said they were promotional. of course everything got wrecked on my basement flooded. it's all gone now.

I have a question about the Metallica collection, because I have one of these. When they were on their first tour, for Kill Em All, the band had autograph parties in every city they went to. I got to go to the concert _and also_ the autograph party, where I bought Kill Em All & had it autographed by all 4 members, _including the late Cliff Burton!_ Cliff was their original bass player, who died not long after. I've seen these autographed Kill Em All albums going for $5,000-$5,500! I've personally been offered 5k for mine, but I won't sell it. I'm not a collector but the record is too special to me personally. It's valuable because it has the late Cliff Burton's autograph on it. I'm almost sure there was _not_ one in this collection, because these guys are overflowing with integrity and would've pointed this out. But still I wonder.

I ran into an old friend from High School a few years back. We hadnt hung out in 20 years. He tells me " Hey Man, I still have your old METALLICA Zorlac skateboard in my basement. I have been holding it for you!" Wow. I was real grateful, even shocked that he kept it and brought up how nice that was to hold on to it. Weeks go by, I get a hold of him, " Dude, what is going on with that Metallica board?" A pause..." Yeah, I guess I was wrong, I cant find it now". That stinks. That board was a cool item, I looked em up on Ebay, they fetch good cash. I think he looked it up as well Lol. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I still have quite a bit of the old heavy Metal stuff, but its amazing the mental blank I run into when it comes to where all my old skateboarding stuff went. Dad Died last month. We will be cleaning out his property for at least the coming year, maybe I will find some of my old stuff.

I hope he posts of video on how the Metallica auction turned out. When I was younger I used to be a big Metallica fan. The previous oh went must have been a diehard fan, he even kept magazines and photos of the band.

Pete look at the frame on the basketball jersey, it's a $5 frame from the 1990s. I can't imagine they would put such an amazing jersey in the cheapest frame available at the time. The little details give away fakes sometimes.

I have a piece from a Super Bowl charity signing. The player signed at the event so no COA was given. These could be legit if the item was signed by these players at 1 event or someone took it to multiple events to have signed which would be tougher to get.

Pete, you’re way high on that 1992 Dream Team jersey. Yes, the signatures are collectible, but not $100k or $300kcollectible! Authenticators want time period accuracy, so you’d also want superstars from that team, Charles Barkley, David Robinson, Clyde Drexler, NOT Kobe and LeBron…

That jersey would def go for close to 100k at an auction. A real deal auction. It’s odd that the person braught that to you of all ppl. He could of took it to a big big auction and paid them like what 20% or something. Idk something is fishy

Don’t use gildan shirts they are the worst. They shrink and widen when you wash them, it’s best to air dry those shirts, hang em up on a clothes line, Do not dry gildan shirts

That Jersey would easily sell for maybe 250k, magic alone is 42k, jordan would cost more, larry bird would be about the same, u just said if its real its like a 300k jersey, i totally agree with that number. 10k a signature is to small, more like 25k min a signature.

most locksmiths will be able to use a key blank and cut you a key by impressioning the lock, but any locksmith with the right tools can key one without even picking it.

i often wonder why people buy stuff but never open it ? and then it just gets sold, so whats the point ? i knew a guy who bought a brand new car ever year but never took the plastic of the seat to keep them clean ! i said to him you are sitting on cheap plastic and the next guy who buys it cheap will get the benefits of clean upholstery, after that he changed
