How Versatile is Schecter Hellraiser C1 FR S?

Schecter should hire you. You made a great demo here and went over everything so well. You're insanely talented, I'm blown away by your skills. Thank you for the video. So - I have this in ultraviolet, without the Floyd or Sustaniac. Nice feeling guitar. One day a few weeks ago, my buddy (who is a great guitar player) asked if he could play it. After about 10 minutes, he said, "Wow, I think I want one of these." Then last night - and here's the best part - I showed him your video (this one) and he was like, "SOLD! SOLD! SOLD!" I have this guitar. It can really do everything! Some people say that the Sustainiac is just a gimmick. I do not agree! I use it all the time, and if you add delay effects, you can make some cool sounds with the Sustainiac. You can even make it sound like a violin if you layer it! I love mine. Great video, my dude! @@michielsmissaertIn my opinion yes, would leave it single coil most of the time and coil tap on solos to give it a kick. Very tonally versatile guitar. I would recommend if you can to go to a guitar store that sells them and try one yourself. I think looking on the internet is one thing but trying it yourself you’ll either love it or hate it.

I’ve always said the hellraisers can play pretty much anything. I’ve met snobs in the past that literally wouldn’t even touch my c1 just because of the EMGs and “it’s a metal guitar”. Thinking outside the box is great I love my hellraiser for different genres. I even use my 2011 telecaster with tv jones pickups to play heavy metal. Unbeatable top end sound that shines through. We shouldn’t put certain guitars under strict genres.

I have this guitar. Mine is transparent black over quilt, with carbon fiber binding. ITS BEAUTIFUL. I can vouch for this claim that it can do all of those sounds, and further more, with a few EQ tweaks on the amp, it can do these sounds even more authentically than whats presented in this video. One thing about it that blew me away was the Sustaniac's single coil tone in the neck position with the power off. Its sweet and creamy and was a great surprise from such a high output package. Its beautiful from top to bottom. The attention to detail, especially at this price point, is second to none. I would highly recommend Schecter's to anyone who can't afford the next level price tag but appreciates that next level look and feel. It sounds and plays amazing and looks like the fantasy guitars i used to day dream about in the catalogs when i was a kid. Schecter is the best bang for the buck out there!

@@MaTTheWish I think i saw somewhere that it is actually a single coil, and the other coil is for noise canceling and other function for the sustainer, but im not sure. I'll look it up and then get back to you here in the comments when i know more.

I have the hybrid version on hold for me. Cant wait to go pick it up! When i played it, i was instantly in love. Amazing guitar! I love how you FEEL those notes when the sustaniac kicks in. Im smitten over this guitar. And for the price your getting so much more than anyone else is charging for similar quality. Im coming from ibanez hardcore using old RGs and prestige level necks, and the schecter delivers.

Ive had the Hybrid for a few years now and I never go far from it. I really put that up there with the prestige ibanez's also neck wise. Although i do like the LoPro trem better i have to admit :)

I thought it was an EMG 57? Also, how is the neck? Is it fat like a Fender or thin like an Ibanez Prestige? And how is the finish on the back? Is it satin finished? I prefer natural on the back of the necks, but that one looks interesting. Cheers!

You can get various Schecter body shapes in the blackjack line which has that Lundgren bridge pickup which is super dark and heavy. Also has stainless steel frets and other ones don't because companies are cheap and want to arbitrarily make SS into a premium price point feature
