I have to say, I actually really like the question posed by the title of the video. It feels like most challenge runners call their videos things like what I'm currently eyeing in my recommended 'Can you beat Demon's Souls with only daggers?' which, like, of course you can, these games aren't designed to force specific equipment use like Zelda might necessitate the Hookshot. But basically doing a whole video asking 'how useful is a Faith build in general' is honestly a lot more interesting and useful, because the end result could be anywhere from 'wow this is better than I thought wtf' to 'yeah you can use this for a casual run' to 'hell no don't touch this shite' to 'good for specific situations but generally not worth the stat allocations necessary for those situations.' It's a small detail, but I applaud that, sir

@@vaguevigilante1369 Yeah it went well, even tough the game is pretty dated when you go to play it after beating more recents fromsoftware games (i've already platinum'd elden ring and bloodborne) it´s still a good game and pretty ahead of it´s time. the most obvious downside of demons souls that i believe everyone complains about are the atrocious runbacks to the bosses, as there are no bonfires to sit around the phase, and the bosses being pretty easy overall. But even with that i still got the platinum for demons souls. Appreciate your answer man

@vaguevigilante1369 when you use the weapon art on certain casting tools for miracles, specifically talismans, you are granted temporary hyper armor for the duration of the spell cast. This is important because lightning related miracles do more damage when they hit up close. It allows you to basically trade blows using spells and to cast any miracle uninterrupted.

What I love about demons souls is that you can make whatever build to work. Stamina and regen builds are actually viable, which unprecedented in any other souls.

The lava filled caves below the mines contain an armor set and a shield against fire. Use them combined with the ring and the Flamelurker does very little damage.

One of my favorite faith centered builds is the regen build. Equipment - (all centered around hp regen) *Blessed Weapon Fully Upgraded: +6 Hp/Sec Adjudicator's Shield Fully Upgraded: +8 Hp/Sec Regenerator's Ring: +4 Hp/Sec (second ring is up to player depending on set up) * - Remember only certain weapons can be blessed, personally recommend two-handing the mirdan hammer or similar weapon while keeping the shield on your back since its a mid shield anyways. Spells - (can fluff around with this, choose a couple or all) **Regeneration: 1% Hp/Sec **Second Chance: Revives the player at 50% Hp when killed. **Anti-Magic Field: Field around the user where magic can't be used. Cure: Cures poison, plague and bleeding Evacuate: Teleports the player back to the Nexus God's Wrath: Damage blast centered on the player Banish: Sends invaders back to their world Recovery: Heals a ton of hp based on faith ** - Can't use these spells together at the same time, only choose one. Second chance is my personal go-to but if you want even more regen go regeneration. Anti-magic field has super niche uses but there are cases where it's useful. Optional - Grass Jelly Consumable: Only in the remake I believe, gives a small amount of health regen. Not really worth it in my opinion outside of maybe grabbing a couple for some harder fights like flamelurker or false king. Can't find any info on the actual healing it provides but I remember it just wasn't worth the trouble to bother with it since it costs and weighs a lot for what you get. Armor - Honestly use whatever but I recommend going as tanky as possible with your armor. The less damage you take makes the regen more effective as the majority of it is flat hp per second. Total Hp/Sec Base: 18 Hp/Sec Total Hp/Sec with Regeneration: 18 + 1% Hp/Sec With high defense armor, high health and some good distanced fighting with weapons like the mirdan hammer you can absolute make this game your bitch. On top of that, blessed weapons are incredibly easy to max out as the items have easy farm spots and you can get a pure faintstone from an npc when at 20 faith. Faith in demons souls is a lot more support heavy then in later entries but by god does it work.

Honestly, outside of blessed infused weapons and the Moonlight GS, there aren’t many good faith offensive tools outside of quality scaling ones like blue blood and meat cleaver. It’s a shame that magic builds get the buffet of options in this game.

I think Faith definitely shines most in Elden Ring because there it has the benefit of also being pyromancy. Survivability is also so important in elden ring that regen miracles are pretty strong. Much more diverse and interesting kit of both offense and utility spells than int's 50 different blue pebble throws imo, especially considering you get flame, lightning, holy, and even physical damage on deck compared to int just basically having magic, frost, and sometimes phys

Sad to say the only build in this game that is worth making that you can actually enjoy the majority of the game with it is a crushing build, preferably the Mirdan Hammer or Great axe variant. Anything else you try to upgrade by the time you are done the game is already over by then.

World Tendency can make or break your gameplay experience. Pure White will make enemies weaker (although I call bullshit in some areas, fucking Valley of Defilememt 😤), but at the cost of less souls gained from killed enemies and they drop healing items more often then anything else. In Pure Black, enemies do more damage, exclusive enemies (primeval demons which drop colorless demon souls when killed), and black (red) phantoms of NPC's will spawn in.
