@@BradMarmara If you continue further left in Darkroot Basin after killing the hydra, you'll eventually find a crystal golem that has someone trapped inside. Kill it, then head to Dukes Archives where you'll find another crystal golem that drops the broken pendant. Go back to Darkroot Basin where you freed the person from the golem and there should now be a portal to the first DLC level.

After finally playing through this game, this just tells me Bluepoint were the right hands to place this remake in. To put such a well thought out, elaborate, and Soulslike bonus quest for players is such a great addition to those revisiting the game and feeling that sense of wonder again where it all began. Looking forward to whatever these guys do next and to the, probably, impending Bloodborne remake in the future.

Incidentally, for those who never heard it answered that door in Bloodborne you can't open in the room with all the pots is the other side of the door at the end of the bridge where you fight the Cleric Beast. Someone demonstrated a few years back if you clip some shining coins through the pot room door you can run back around and see them on the other side of the bridge door. Not sure WHY they made the door impossible to open, but there you are.

The door was on the border of 2 different loading zones in the game. When walking through the door the game would crash trying to load in the other area whilst still momentarily having the old area still loaded in. They couldnt find a way to fix this before launch so they closed off access to the door but kept it there as to create mystery around it. Hope this satisfies your curiosity :D

This is one of the reasons I love this community so much someone discovers something new and everyone in the community immediately jumps up ready to help figure out the ins and outs of this new discovery to figure out exactly what it means sharing a love for a series that I’m sure when creating them from soft had no idea the amount of love and support the series would get it’s truly a beautiful thing we have here as a community as a family United by are love for a video game of all things so even though I know from soft will never see this but truly honestly from the bottom of my heart I thank you for the great people friends and enemies I made throughout the game and throughout the community the souls games have changed my life and I could only imagine so many countless others so once again from soft thank you for giving a damn about your games about your community I hope to see countless more in the future and wish nothing but the best for the company and for the amazing community they’ve developed

I went on my own coin hunt a few days ago, and just this morning found my 26th coin. It was an amazing experience. Even though by now most players are duping the coins with a work around, doing it the legit way was very satisfying. Umbasa.

I just played through this game (the Remake) in about a week for the time and I loved it. It truly is a special game and I absolutely loved discovering all the initial ideas and game design choices that made it into the other games. But since Demon's Souls feels so very tedious compared to other souls games because of how extremely rare check points are, I don't see myself going for another run or the platinum any time soon. Also no one likes online trophies in single player based games... Thx for this video Vati, it truly was a good watch after completing the game. Also your guides helped me a lot! :)

I didn't bother looking at any info on Demon's Souls when it released because I just played it instead, but I didn't know this was a thing. I've never seen it brought up anywhere (I don't frequent souls message boards) so it's interesting to know! Just seen the pinned comment about another 2 being found, so I think I'll try this out as I'm currently doing my clean up before moving to NG+ on a save that I had started recently.

@@VaatiVidya Bluepoint was so ahead of KZbinrs and Speedrunners, that not only did they create an invisible wall to block out hackers ... they knew people would pose for the thumbnails before getting the item. There's a reason the key stays with you in NG+ as a reminder to grab the item ;) lol

These videos are part of the reason why i love the soulsborne titles so much. There is so much hidden in these games that it is almost impossible for you to find them on your own. It is a community effort, linked to the online nature of these games. I remember when demons souls came out in asia and you had to import it to even play it in europe. The first demons souls wiki was born and people found out about all these weird things like world and character tendency. There wasn't a week without crazy findings. It was the most fun time i ever had with video games period. I cannot remember any other game that had so much time and effort put into things that the entire community had to work on together to have a chance in finding the secrets. It was a fascinating treasure hunt that has persisted in all soulsborne titles. Can't wait for elden ring.

@@Jormyyy hahaha yeah, hard to imagine. Same with Krimson KB, except he knew it was rare. I had to farm the skeleton 678 times on ps3 to get the platinum trophy (10 hours of gameplay). Some have not gotten one after 20 hours. Streamer luck at its best

Amazing! I dont have a ps5 yet. But just amazed how people can come together like this when this game isnt even a year old yet. Just like the colossus remaster i was just in awe in how much time these people put in and the reward isnt great on paper but its worth it just to find it.
