How Virtual Behavioral Health Services Can Change the Way We Approach Treatment for Problem Gambling

This presentation is from the 15th Annual Nevada State Conference on Problem Gambling and is presented by Nathan Smith, Ph.D. Dr. Smith is the Executive Director of the Kindbridge Research Institute, the only organization in the US with the sole goal of improving telehealth treatment for people experiencing harm from gambling, gaming, and other behavioral addictions.
In this talk, Dr. Smith covers the current state of tele-therapy in the country, how access has been made easier than ever for problem gamblers, and also how quality needs to be addressed as part of the future progress of tele-therapy.We need to ensure that as we embrace the tele-health future, we aren’t sacrificing treatment quality for access.
