Oh so thats how the triangle bokeh 6:00 and other bokeh were created. Still amazed at how vivo and Zeiss managed to do it digitally and produce such amazing pictures and footages with the V40 Pro. Truly an amazing product with this collaboration!

Good stuff as always Ben! I'm sold on foldables now and would have gone with the X Fold 3 Pro, but the global version's markup is crazy so I carry the Magic v3 instead. Hopefully Vivo has a more cost-competitive global release next year.

I have an Xfold 3 pro and X 100 pro, both are excellent, very high quality and origin OS is easy to get around, both working in Australia 🦘. I had a German telescope with Zeiss lenses when I was 6 years old, and the reason why I love Vivo is Zeiss lenses. They are fantastic for professional landscape photography.

Love these kind of iconic company tours and it doesn't get much more iconic than ZEISS. For me though, the most iconic ZEISS and mobile device partnership was between NOKIA and ZEISS when they created the NOKIA PureView 41MP lens for the NOKIA 808 PureView which was basically a high end point and shoot camera that just also happened to be a phone. Later that 41MP camera system was used in the NOKIA Lumia 1020 Windows Phone. That camera system was 5 years in the making and nothing else came close at the time. It also had a xenon flash which NOKIA was known to use in their high end N series camera phones and it is still dumbfounding how more OEMs today are not using a xenon flash which is what pro DSLR's use.

2:05 1/2.5 sensor is relatively large? that's like the smallest possible size. Its the standard CCTV sensor size that was standard on phones for a long time.

Still rocking my trusty Vivo X70 Pro+ and love it. Was about to upgrade to the X100 Ultra when suddenly it appears X200 series drops this month including a rumoured 'pro mini' version, thus waiting for this (and Ben's review, of course;)

The Pro mini is basically just a smaller regular X200. It's not actually like the X200 Pro. For example, the Pro Mini won't have the 200mp telephoto (same as the X100 Ultra). The X200 Pro does.

Something really interesting came to my mind and I wanted to share it with you. Zeiss has been around for 170 years so they really care about their branding. When they make a collaboration with a phone manufacturer that is big, some people say that Vivo and other BBK brands do software updates that intentionally makes it worse. But because of Zeiss's care for their branding, I don't think they can.

NIce hardware but the software is kinda not on par. If this phone is exclusively China again, the phone might slightly be better if the come international. OriginOS is much more well built but the sad thing is sometimes the sync with Google is not as good as the other China brand counterparts. However, having said that on the software, the hardware is top-notched. Its video/picture graphics is one of the best, if not the leading one in the industry, followed by Oppo. Huawei which led the mobile photography before the US ban, is now not really that on par but its Honor is getting better yet still loses abit to Vivo overall.
