Fascinating story, which I happen to believe. Often times it is the forgotten ones who should have actually gotten the credit, but memories fade over time. Also, when they make a movie they often have to leave out certain people for the sake of time. In this case, however, I think it was BOTH of these women who were instrumental in making this event happen. Btw, my very favorite Elvis biopic was "Elvis," starring Kurt Russell and directed by John Carpenter ("Halloween" and "The Thing") in 1979. The part of Marion Keisker was actually played by Ellen Travolta, John Travolta's sister! I thought she was fantastic in the role. I think Kurt did the best job of all because he was the best ACTOR. Nobody revealed the true heart of Elvis like he did. Kurt explained that he learned how to portray Elvis after watching the movie "Loving You," twice. One day I actually met his makeup artist for the TV movie, and I wondered why they picked Kurt for the job. She didn't think he looked right for the part either, until an hour later when he came out in the makeup, the wig, and the jumpsuit. Then they looked at him and everybody said, "WOW."

Thanks for your comment! Yes, you're right, memories do fade over time. It's crazy to think what would have happened to Elvis if Marion never ran into this lady. Great info about Kurt!
