Quite a nice video! I'd like to point out that Pit was a newcomer in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, so Mr. Sakurai had already put a lot of work into reviving the brand and reimagining the characters. I imagine that had something to do with why he chose the Kid Icarus franchise.

Yeah, definitely. One part of an interview about this game stood out to me a lot - it was about difficulty (and I'm paraphrasing here) but basically he was like "Miyamoto doesn't like to give the player many options because he wants the core experience to be absolutely perfect, whereas I think that the player should be given as much freedom and choice as possible". That section of the interview was pretty much the motivation for that end bit about him + Miyamoto. Because as much as I love me some Miyamoto, I think Sakurai's perspective about these things is incredibly interesting and sometimes a little better. I mean, I don't wanna pit them against each other because they're both incredibly talented, but I find the differences in their perspectives to be very interesting.

This video was great! As a die-hard Kid Icarus Uprising fanboy, I'm glad to see content about the game being uploaded. However, I do have one eensy complaint (no problem, really). When that sheet music popped up, I was really expecting the main theme. You see, I'm currently working on arranging every piece in the game for an orchestra, and it would have been wonderful to see the actual main theme to (shhhh...) maybe get a bit of a shortcut. As I'm sure you're aware, that was Palutena's Temple. No hard feelings, I was just a little disappointed, that's all. Thanks for the awesome video. 👍

ahhh i remember when i first played this game. my god was it the best thing ever. i played it non stop, every second i had the chance to play it for a whole week, and luckily i had a week off from school at the time. the gameplay was great and the multiplayer aspect was even greater imo. the amount of weapons you can choose too? hooo boy, you would definitely find one you're comfortable with. you got your long range, close combat, speedy ones, slow ones, hybrids of close and long range but sacrificed for speed and/or damage, and vice versa. i can go on, but you get what i'm saying. the story was ok, nothing mind blowing, but the banter and incredible voice acting definitely made it funner, even if it doesnt fit the atmosphere of literally killing off some of the bosses you fight. granted some do get resurrected, so maybe thats why they can have light discussions with each other. and even with the basic game stuff being awesome, the game's graphics and colors were so appealing and there were still small cool stuff, like the idols (similar to trophies in smash) and the challenge board. (also similar to smash) yeah. this game is hands down one of the best games i ever played, and this might not happen, but im in the camp of waiting for a switch remake, or even better: a sequel.

I agree that Miyamoto is overrated. Especially in recent years, a lot of his decisions are pretty archaic and hypocritical. He'll insist that games shouldn't get sequels without introducing some sort of gimmick, claiming we should just play the old game, only for Nintendo to turn around and release HD remasters of Zelda games despite Zelda having an abundance of games, unlike franchises like F-Zero which could use an HD revival. He also frequently casts plot to the wayside in favor of releasing Mario and Zelda games that rehash the same non-plot or Kirby games that are devoid of plot entirely.

People are asking how old Pit is. Kid Icarus: Uprising was created in 2012. Since Pit defeated Medusa 25 years from 2012, that would take place in 1986-1987 and since he has the appearance of a 13 year old, it's safe to assume he was born in 1973-1974 making him now 45-46.

Justice said we broke His perfect law - causing the world's previous perfection to be destroyed - and therefore we deserve Hell (like a punishment in any legal system but this is eternal as His perfect law is eternal too). It's about letting Christ in to guide and teach you and obeying Him through His power (not ourselves, we need Him to help us as it's impossible without depending on His power and instruction). He is our substitute in His life, death and resurrection. He essentially rewrote history in our place so that, if you believe in Him, it will be as if you had never sinned if you accept Christ's death as our own in our place. He is in Heaven right now preparing a place for us so that He can take His faithful, believing children home with Him when He returns. He will ressurrect us from death when He returns, giving mercy to those who accept His love, instruction and teachings in their life, and give justice to those who refuse it. He doesn't want ANY of us to go to Hell and die for continuing in evil and rejecting His way to life, thats why He died FOR us. Hes giving EVERYONE a chance, He wants everyone to take the free gift of salvation from Hell. He wants us to be His and begin to follow His life of love and service through His power and abiding (staying) with Him. So long as we keep our hearts near to Christ through His strength, strive to follow His will of perfect love revealed in the Bible, and let Him lead in the midst of (very certain) pitfalls and struggles, we will, in time, win the ultimate victory over sin, pain and DEATH through Christ. Even if you are willing to be made willing, pray for Jesus to come in and He will do what we can't. Give us The Holy Spirit who will guide us in the right way. NOTE: You are NEVER too sinful or messed up that God cannot turn your life around through Jesus. EVER. Regardless of what you've done or what you're going through you CAN make it through Jesus. Incase you were wondering, Icarus is someone who tried to fly for his freedom, but f**ked up and died. Kind of like Greek Abbas Ibn Firnas. Except Abbas was real, Icarus was not, they both died in the end, and unlike Abbas, Icarus wasn't trying that well. Not to mention that Abbas made wings of bird feathers and leather, while Icarus made them of wax (but seriously, WHO makes wings of wax, that's both stupid AND ridiculous).

It shocks me that this game got such good scores. True, the music and art style are great but it has a problem gameplay-wise: every control scheme is ass. Playing the game with the pack-in stand made my hands ache after 15 minutes and that was the best control scheme available. I couldn't play more than a couple of levels.
