Märklin is a recommended brand if you want to get starting with model railway and those stuff

Depends on where you live and what scale you plan on running. I wouldn't recommend them for HO scale in the US unless you specifically want to model central European equipment, due to a lack of availability, and even if you did I'd recommend Trix (their 2-rail brand) over Marklin proper so you can take advantage of locally available 2-rail track from Kato, Peco or Atlas instead of having to rely on Marklin's proprietary and expensive 3-rail track. For G scale, though, LGB (which is currently owned by Marklin) is one of the best brands to go with alongside Piko.

Just to note that S12 is the only season (and the worst of the bunch), utilized the Model-CGI hybrid before Thomas shifted to full CGI due to the high cost of the models and filming.
