On the other hand when you are sat inside the vessel and the boat is in no apparent danger as these conditions are totally normal for the certain period of time in the aegean waters.To claim that you were having a near death experience is sensless and foolish. I can tell you that from the view of a seaman and a person who has far worse sea states.

a similar thing has happened to me before. our family had rented a boat and we had our own driver and we were half way between our starting location and the island we were on our way to when it became extremely windy and the waves were absolutely huge. it seemed silly that we had to speed up even more and drive straight into the waves but if you turn away from the waves or go side-on the boat can flip. we had to just take the waves and they were so big that they completely covered, we were basically inside the wave. it seemed scary at he time but it was our safest option, if we had done anything else we could have been flipped over and stranded in the middle of the ocean. you have to go fill out or there’s no hope, just ride the waves basically
