Maura is so wonderful and authentic. As an Irish woman in her 30s I am so self critical and don’t notice until I am told by others, similar to this. It was like listening to a therapy session. She deserves all the positivity that comes her way. Well done, Paul. Amazing listen!
@doseyjosey1010Ай бұрын
when he stopped her and mentioned her self criticism, I genuinely said outloud... most Irish women(and men) will always slag themselves off first, before someone else can! I was on call with a friend earlier, talking about wanting to join the gym but I'm a "lazy, greedy fecker"... its definitely an Irish thing!

I have to say, it was an absolute delight. Maura's personality shines through in this episode, and her humor is both refreshing and relatable. She has this incredible ability to make serious topics feel accessible and engaging, which I found really inspiring. What struck me the most was how genuine Maura comes across. From the moment she starts speaking, you can tell that she's not just putting it all on, she's sharing her true self and Her stories and insights are not only entertaining but also resonate on a personal level, making you feel connected to her journey. It's clear that she has a big heart, and her endearing nature makes the podcast an amazing to listen watch. Overall, this episode has only reinforced my admiration for Maura Higgins. She’s funny, inspiring, and incredibly genuine x x

A refreshing interview, I can identify with her as an irish person growing up in rural Ireland . The school, the neighbourhood and the expectations put on you by family. All so damaging, that you believe you are not worthy. Talk therapy helped me to see this and shift my perspective of self. You simply want to run from it all as if you don’t comply, you don’t fit in and become alienated. It’s better to stand out than accept societies narrow vision of life!! Good for you Maura, do what makes you happy!!💯💯💯💯💯💯❤️

What an incredible man Paul is. I have followed him since Married at First Sight years back and he has consistently shown up as an emotionally intelligent man with strong morals and principles, and is a person I greatly admire and often listen to. Your response to Maura's horrendous experience in the taxi was deeply comforting and appreciated, as a lot of men, in my experience would never respond that way, and either trivialise the incident, dismiss it, or blame the woman. It is refreshing and touching to hear the empathy you showed when she told her story. This gives me hope that I will find a great man one day with strong principles, who will protect me. Also Maura is a very resilient woman. I will forever remember this episode in particular. Thank you so much for this.

Coming from an Irish girl the slagging ourselves & others is real it's called having the craic & banter, Ireland is known for dark humour & comedy & it's something that's ingrained in our society, I believe if I'm honest Irish people use humour as a cover up so much trauma has happend in our little country(catholic church) I see more wounded souls, I resonate with maura so much just wish I had her strength & resilience something I'm working on at the minute to not give a shit while also giving a shit with the right people, like maura the people that are there for you in all your messy, beautiful life situations that stick around & support you they deserve your energy, love & time what I've learned is you're left with feck all but quantity doesn't matter quality does that wins everytime, beautiful interaction between you both & I'm sure you both learned alot from one another ❤️

This channel and the work being done is so important. It’s really made me emotional because i consider myself a failure abbé a train wreck and yet I’m watching so much kindness and understanding, I can’t explain but it’s helping me so much more than being told to get a morning routine and to follow some five minute brain hack. I love how she handles the awful negative comments made about her and the presumptions made about her and every man she comes in contact with… And I’m also appalled at the disgusting comments women make about her what happened to women building each other up… and being genuinely supportive and happy for her she’s worked her butt off for what she has and good luck to her .
