Update: Feb 1, 2020. The chain is rusting, but still strong. Every now an again I spray some rust paint on it. The locks rusted, and had to throw them away. I now use a brass and stainless pad lock that seem better suited for salt water conditions.

As of Oct 1st, 2019 the chain is so rusted that the locks cannot get into the links. Not much clearance. I would not use this as a solution for a dingy. Also, one lock is seized locked. My fault. The locks require regular oiling, or this will happen.
