I’m very excited to talk about today’s video topic: travel hacking! In the past, I always thought that travel hacking was too complicated, and ended up paying for all my travel myself for full price. Recently, however, I discovered that it was possible to travel hack in a more intentional and minimalist way, and we have already secured three free flights and 14 free nights of hotel stays! I want to share what I’ve learned so you don’t make the same mistakes I did when planning trips!
Here is a detailed Google Doc where I wrote out all of my best tips and current travel credit card options: docs.google.co...
This video is not sponsored, and all opinions are my own. Some of these links are affiliate links, in which I may receive a small bonus/commission if you choose to sign up for those cards. Not all offers I am sharing will be available to everyone, especially those outside of the U.S. Be sure to reflect about your financial situation and budget before moving forward with travel hacking.

I’ve been travel hacking about 4 years and have 5 cards. I’ve been to Brazil, Ireland, Wales, Guatemala and several US trips. This works very well. Ive had flights canceled and had miles refunded with no problems. I’d only recommend this to folks that can pay the full balances off monthly though. It’s been really fantastic. Thanks for your video. I’ve never used the points for hotels so now I’ll start looking at those.

Way to go! We have probably received between $7K and $10K in travel benefits in the past several years. I wish I had kept better records. We are planning a trip in a few days that will have three free hotel nights and over $500 from rewards from credit cards. Well, the free hotel nights come with a $49 annual fee on the credit card. Of course, this wouldn't work for someone who is unable to pay their credit cards off each month. You probably address that in the video but I just started watching. :)

Don't get to travel. It's not even close to within a budget no matter how much hacking is done. Just from my view. Anything beyond the price of groceries is expensive, even groceries are expensive, and that's where I'm at in my life. I'm totally here for your travel conversations because I live through other people's experiences and what they share about them.

My husband and I enjoy credit card hacking in general. It's awesome for traveling. 👍😀 You just have to be strategic, intentional, and always pay your balances off in full every month.

I'm a credit card unicorn so travel hacking sounds like a good fit for me. I might not have the credit rating to get a travel credit card yet, but that's a thing I've already been working on.

@@AbundantlyMinimal we find other ways to "travel hack" tho...we set a budget. We always spend less. Rent houses, meal plan, etc. Rebook flights to save, rebook car rentals. The last one we saved hundreds.
