While most people would agree that the pursuit of happiness is high on their list of priorities in life, they think twice about the pursuit of pleasure. in a culture that places so much emphasis on productivity, simple pleasures get a bad press.

I was able to purchase 3 nights in 2 different hotels with airmiles, and I still have enough for another night, as well I have almost enough points with my credit card for another night. The hotels were decent, not fancy. I have paid off my credit card on time for the last 32 years.

I even had a random idea the other day not sure how well it would work... but purchasing items on CC, selling it immediately for the same cost (ebay, craigslist, etc) so call it a wash but you're just racking up travel points. probably a lot of work but just a thought LOL

The only thing about the sapphire is that if you close it, you have to wait 48 months until you can reapply for it. Just FYI.

Thanks for the video man! Question- how many cards do you think someone should have running at once (assuming we are responsible and pay them off)? Like if I did this each year, and racked up 10 cards (but pay them off on time), is that bad ? Should I close the cards out after use?
@GabeBult

About 10 is good for me be some have alot more and you can cancel them but there are certain ways to do that that won't hurt you

What action specifically causes the dip in your credit. Is there a way to midigate the damage to your credit score and just being stratgic about doing the hack?

Watch for referral bonuses also ... I know some of our cards I've gotten my sign on points and then had my husband get one on my referral to get a referral bonus and another set of sign on points 👍

hi gabe, this is great info! i just bought a home that i'm trying to rehab now. could you still consider it a business if it's your primary home that you will rent out rooms in the house? i'm thinking of doing a bathroom remodel, but unsure if it counts as a business necessarily since it's my primary home i will be living in while renting rooms.

Wait so how often can you take advantage of those points for cheap travel? Isn’t it after the first initial batch of points when you open the card you’ll never get that big amount again?

Awesome, glad it’s going well. The rentals are good, I’m at solid FIRE now as long as I stay single with no kids haha. I’ve also been doing this credit card churning and have gotten about $2500 in the past 6-9 months in travel so taking advantage of my free time with travel as much as possible.

Business cards require that the purchases be only business related. Otherwise they can hold you accountable for fraud. 😢

I try to take advantage of these credit card offers every 6 months or so when I know I'll have some big expenses to pay for. For example, 6 month auto insurance renewal (which for me is ~$500). Try to pair it with any other major expenses that may be due around the time that you would have normally funneled through your main credit card. This will make it trivial for most to reach the required amount if you then funnel all your other fixed monthly expenses through over the course of the 3 months. I think it goes without saying, however, that you should ONLY take advantage of these signup bonuses if you can pay the balance off in full. Don't be foolish with these.

Also, be weary of any annual fees (the chase sapphire carries one). If you earn the bonus travel rewards, use them, then cancel the card within a year or you'll be hit with the annual fee.

Reservations early save money. Seeing Elon Musk in April for the space program with NASA for example is best booked in a hotel sooner.

Hey Gabe. I didn't know you were married. That's great! What do you think happens after we die? Do you think God is happy with you, or mad at you? The Bible tells us what God thinks through the moral law (or the 10 commandments). Some of the commandments are 1. You shall not lie 2. You shall not steal (Even something small, like gum) 3. You shall not blaspheme God's name (Say Jesus Christ in an irreverent way, or say OMG) 4. Or commit adultery (Jesus says whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If you have broken any of those 4 commandments, and that's only 4 out of the 10 commandments, then God sees you as a guilty criminal before him. God's penalty for sin, is death. God will not judge you based on your good deeds compared to your bad deeds, God will only judge you for the wrong you have done. If you were to die today, and God gave you justice, you would end up in Hell (God's prison without parole).God is separated from us because of the barrier of sin. Our sin is rebellion in the eyes of God. But God made a way for us to be made right with him and have our sins forgiven. The Bible says "For God so loved the world, that he gave His only son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." God came down from heaven in the form of a man (Jesus Christ), and he came on rescue mission to save the world. He lived a perfect, sinless life, (a sinless life that no man could ever live), and he died on the cross to take away our sins. When Jesus Christ died on the cross, he said "It is finished!", in other words "THE DEBT HAS BEEN PAID." Jesus was crucified on the cross, taking God's just anger for sin upon Himself, (the punishment that you and I deserve), and was buried for 3 days. Jesus rose from the grave 3 days later, defeating death, hell and the punishment of sin (God's judgement, which is hell). Jesus Christ now offers forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life to anyone who would turn from their sinful lifestyle and place their trust in Christ. Their are 2 things you must do in order to receive the free gift of Salvation and the promise of eternal life. 1. Turn from you sinful lifestyle (Everything that your conscience knows is wrong and selfish), and 2. Trust that Jesus paid for you sin on the cross (He alone has paid the price for you sin). No longer trust in your good deeds to save you. Trust in Jesus Christ. Believe in Him and live forever.
