The only problem with this strategy in higher level lobbies is, if you give space they will find a way to score. It also opens you up to the dedicated demoer strategy. Looks fun though

I've actually been doing this for a long time in 1v1s. I find this strategy usually breaks their "momentum", like they've been playing frantically for the last 10 matches or so, so they're warmed up, then you play like this and they suddenly have to readapt to the new game pace. When you get all crazy, their responses are not as fast.

you treat it too much like a hard rule. i know it was probably a bit more for the entertainment than like innovating strategy but if you used it more flexibly it sounds very powerful. like switching passive/aggressive modes not by arbitrary time limits but when you feel like it or when theres a good opportunity

@Wayton Pilkin. I have tried this in 2s where I switch the tempo of my game up between passive and agressive and it actually works. If your playing passive and not challenging as much the defenders will go for the ball a lot more and eventually you can catch the defender off guard by actually challenging on a 50-50 shot. Would recomend trying this out because by using this strategy I have ranked up from champ 1 to champ 2.

the strategy would work better if you didn't have an exact time to change, but say if it's a fast game with lots of contact, like around 1m and if it's a really slow game like 2m, but apply it when there's a good opportunity + play a little less passive, so they start to think, but not suspect anything. If you can make them feel safe, but not lose till that point, then they'll be less prepared. In the first game they were prepared for the first attack because they didn't trust your playstyles enough.

Biggest flaw here is passive play doesn't mean not scoring. If you have an open net shot or a simple straight forward shot take them. What you shoulda done as passive was always fake challenge into shadow defense and play your defense game from there. On passive attack you just keep it simple shot thats on target with enough power to make it but no mechanics since that could make you man short on def. Not shooting isnt passive thats just bronze 😅
