When I was young I got sent to a summer chess camp. I don't remember much but one thing always stuck with me from this french chess coach I had and I find it constantly applicable to just about every video game I've played ever since. He told us that every chess player is bound to make mistakes, even the best players in the world. So when you make a mistake instead of malding over it and getting extremely frustrated, accept your mistake and keep playing on as if nothing happened because often the 2nd mistake following an emotional reaction will always be much worse than the first mistake.

Ironically the top ai makes mistakes too. Allowing human plus ai to beat it very consistently.

What isn't talked about is how he was just driving around aimlessly for the minute or so prior...doing hardly anything for his team. I remember thinking this during the final match, and that he was going to cost them the game. And then that happened. What I didn't realize was that he made contact with the ball...but the game said otherwise. Gotta at least give him credit there - that must have been surprising and extremely disappointing to say the least.

Not only did we see the hitmarker from the car contacting the ball, the color of the ball's trail changed orange to indicated that Atomic had in fact hit it. If you hit a ball, every indication proves that you did, and the game says "FU" - that's the game's fault, not the players'.

Let’s put this a way you can understand, if someone kicks a soccer ball past me but my finger slightly touches the ball likely will not be affected even though I touched it. Yes he touched it but so slightly that it had no impact on the ball. The bottom line is that he made a mistake.

He did make the mistake though, He just redirected the ball in to him at most, but really he just made such little contact with the ball it didn't do anything to where it was going. I wanted G2 to win here and seeing that did make me think like "did he get screwed over?" but after looking back on it that's just how it is meant to be, he whiffed a touch that's all that happened. He's one of the best but mistakes happen to the best too, just really bad timing for it.
