In today's video we're walking you through how we do the final color grading on all of our in-studio shots to get that cool blue, dark and moody look using the Lumetri Color Panel in Adobe Premiere Pro. I'm talking through shadow tinting, hue saturation curves, HSL secondary and skin tone masking, Lumetri scopes, and the RGB parade.

That laptop is so awesome. I think I’d miss the trackpad and zooming in and out with it in Premiere. Last PC I had from Microsoft one of their surface devices I couldn’t get this to work in Premiere and it drove me nuts. Or maybe it works and it was just that device. I actually never watched a video of color grading/correction and actually put it to practice until today because I didn't have an Adobe subscription. It is so much fun to do it along with the video. When I started this video, I thought that the mouse choice was Becki's as Chris is all fancy with Razer, I was hoping he would be using a Logitech Gpro lightspeed or Razer Bassilask Ultimate or at least the MX Master (mouse recommendations 😉), but boy was I wrong! The MX ergo is popular, I prefer the G502 lightspeed, it has a thumb button that heavily decreases the sensitivity while pressed so you can make fine slider adjustments easily.

Get a Logitech MX master. It works on both pc and Mac. It has a horizontal scroll wheel that works with timelines and Excel sheets. It has software that can change what the extra buttons do. It is widely considered the most comfortable mouse. It can also swap between 3 different computers. It works over Bluetooth, a USB receiver, and wired.

If chris is gaming, getting a gaming mouse is great but if fully for productivity, do check out the logitech MX series. if you don't mind big size. MX Master 3. if it's for travel. MX Anywhere 2S. the software features are GREAT!. i have a gaming mouse and a MX master 3 on my table now and i switch back and forth for gaming vs productive. a little excessive i know :P

I recommend Logitech gaming mouse if you use palm grip. It's super comfortable and with additional programmable buttons for extra shortcuts

I too have a 2013 Macbook that I only keep around for file transfers on shoots and or if someone has a Mac only Drive that I need files from. It started to show signs of what I like to call "The Glitched out Rainbow" all over the screen, but I noticed formatting it every 2-3 months keeps it running smooth enough allow me to use it for the aforementioned file transfers.

Bloody v8m is a good mouse by A4Tech.. it's lightweight and, most importantly, has 3 buttons for changing the dpi (i use it to play/pause and back/forward Spotify). It's 20ish $ so Chris is gonna love it.

Hey Becki. Sorry to hear about your Mac. As a Mac user, I understand your pain and if you ever are looking to get a new computer, you definitely should look into the old Mac Pro 5,1 and then upgrade it to the max. That should give you better performance than your 2013 Mac Pro and should be more affordable but if you do have a bit more to spend, the 16 inch MacBook Pro fully speced out with an external monitor should be great for your usage. BTW, keep up the great content

Well, Razer does have some mouse. I've been using their cheapest one for over 6-7 years now. Bought one wireless to have a cleaner setup but the old one is still alive and perfectly to use. Btw Great video as always, I've learned so much with colors from you guys!

So when you guys talked about the GPU at the very beginning, it was worded/phrased in a way that was slightly misinformative. Referring to computer shutting down and programs crashing, yes, that is a symptom of a dying GPU, but not one that's too slow! You don't need a supercomputer to do video editing and color grading. Sure it makes the experience better (it'll be faster and smoother), but if you have a slow GPU, your programs should not be crashing. Otherwise, pretty much everything else you said was spot on.
