What came first? Addiction or Mental Illness?
Today, Ben talks about the effects of different drugs and how it has effected his mental health. We touch on the importance of loved ones setting boundaries and standing their ground in order to not enable the addiction.
Where there is breath, there is hope. ✌️❤️

WTG Ben and Sandra. Like I said before Ben, there is not one person I know that did hard drugs like us that stopped the first or second time on methadone. It takes a while to realize while on methadone to 1 realize you don't need it 2 To actually shak the habit as we are so used to revolving our lives around doing drugs that once we stop we don't know what to do with outselves. The drugs consume our lives 24 hrs a day and the only thing we did after using was figuring out where to get the next dose from before we go into withdrawal. Keep up the good work it super hard yet super rewarding at the end and remember methadone only works the first time on people who are hooked on the or Perks. When you are a addict doing all the hard stuff like us, it take a while to break for the years of abuse and how normal our life become enslaved to the drugs. Baby steps Ben will get you to the top. Its OK to fall and take a few steps back, thats expected when your entire life was dependant on these things for the past decades. Your doing awesome and I promise everytime you break and use on methadone makes you not want use drugs a little less each time, until you finally realize that there's no point as you don't feel it once on the proper dose of methadone.

Thanks for that. Ben agrees with you. It has taken a few times to realize it. Great advice. Taking one day at a time. Where there is breath, there is hope. ✌️ ❤️
