My tank was covered in aipstasia and I placed a file fish and a copperband. It took a while before one of them decided to eat them. I suspect was the copperband.

Some sea cucumbers will sift the substrate, and brittle and basket stars will wrap uin your coral and help keep them healthy while they filter the water.

There is 2 cucumbers In there I forgot to mention that. They work slow but the work they do is spotless.

you're half right.... its really quite simple add bio load slowly. the faster u add fish u need uv skim frequent high volume.... nature takes time grow a plant next to your tank as a reference

Did you add any peppermint shrimps to fight the aptasia? Any cleaner shrimps? Any hremit crabs?

I bottomed out both of my tanks and learned a great lesson on being LAZY! Basically had to restart both tanks (3 and 5 year old tanks!) I have been using Bacter 7 and its done well. Am Hanna testing NO3/PO4 every other day. Both are coming back. In my FOWLR big tank, I didnt lose anything. But in the small tank, I lost some SPS, some shrooms, a Midas Blenny, 3 Baggai Cards, and a Pink Pseudochromis, a Fire shrimp, and 3 cleaner shrimp. Frikken SUCKS monkey ass!

My 3yr old 10g reef tank was doing fine until I decided to clean it out completely. Got some new coral, and my tank exploded with both zoa multiplying, anemones growing, montipora exploding in growth. Tank is now suffering from brown algae that just covers the entire surface of the tank, to the point where it starts floating on the surface. I have stopped doing water changes because I only notice it gets worse, but I don't know how to get rid of the algae, it's a losing battle. I don't know what to do anymore.

Hey buddy. I’m gonna try to use snails and conchs to get rid of the brown algae that I’m facing now as you recommended. In the video, you did mentioned about brown algae is toxic to snails. Do you’ve any solution for that? Since I’m gonna get snails as well. I wish to see them die.

I don't recommend snails to fix brown algae. Brown algae's usually are caused by a water chemistry issue or lack of bio diversity. Snails, conchs, and starfish will just eat all the beneficial life that helps fight brown algae's. Black outs work great and if its dino's try dino x it does the job.

Hey, I just got a green spotted puffer for my reef, he’s unhappy living in freshwater so I’m raising the salinity about a point every other day and I’m really excited to put him in. His colors get better the more salt I add and he’s eating LRS like a pig

If you are having algae issues keep Lights off or low. Also make sure your water is good.

I don't. The reason is because vibrant has vinegar which lowers nitrate and phosphate and that's exactly the opposite of what most of are tanks need. we try to balance tanks as natural and independent of any additives if possible.

I use RODI it's completely clean,only as top ups,my saltwater is actually clean ocean water

The reason we use RODI is because we're stripping all the metals and chemicals from city treatments....you do want to maintain some nitrate and phosphate to keep your corals thriving....but not too high or youre just feeding algae...and ultra low and you will get dinos or cyano typically ...I personally try to maintain around 12-20 no3 and 0.03-1.0 po4 with this nutrient level 90% of your corals should thrive...some may prefer higher or lower ranges and you will have to tweak based on reaction from coral...pay attention as you make these changes...color shifts happen and should see proper polyp extension

Yes diatoms is a form of algae. I do the video with the mask on because I'm working in peoples houses and I respect their wishes. I'm filming and working at the same time so it is what it is.
