Hello my name is Lonnie and My wife is Connie.
Here at Far North Bushcraft And Survival you will learn about many long forgotten tricks and tips of the old time woodsmen. Not only will you learn about bushcraft / woodcraft but you will learn many things that will help you to survive in less than ideal "survival" situations as well. Come along and sit with me by the campfire as I delve into these subjects in a way that you can easily learn to then do yourself.
I will show you how to make shelters, gather food, use wild medicines as well as start fires with or without matches, lighters, ferro rods, etc

Whether there is someone who watched this video and does believe in god or does not believe, you can not deny that these people are genuine and speak from their hearts, so the least thing you can do is at least *respect* their believes and views! And I respect you!

I'm agnostic. I love that this couple's God is a good one. They're good honest people. It's a reflection of the core of who they are. The rural life is so much more rich than city life. We left the city 40 yrs ago and don't regret it one bit. Some things can't be manufactured.

Since this first few seconds I knew exactly what you where gonna say :) I'm so happy to hear that you are such good Christians , I have never in my life had a day where I felt alone without the Lord with me. Here's my thoughts: I went through some ruff stuff , many sleepless nights taking care of my ill grandmother, many stressful days when I was a child but it was all lessons that I learned to be a better person when I grow up. My mother is a 3 time cancer survivor and many more problems caused by that and many surgeries. Last year everything was good until we went to the check like we did once every 3-4 months , to be stunned , the doctors says she has stage 4 cancer with metastasis all over her lungs , ribs and spine , it was like a death sentence , we decided to go and do a bit different treatment instead of chemo like we usually did , I started saying prayers for ill people every night and asking lord to save her , she is also very good believer as previously all the times she was saved by God many many times , long story short in 3 months from that we went to check again and doctor goes crazy saying its a miracle , 99% of it was gone , can you imagine that , death sentence that would be liek 6months of life maybe it was that bad and in 3 months and lots of praying everything was gone and now 100% of it is gone. I had pretty normal thoughts all my childhood , graduate university and then go in a bank , the job was actually there waiting for me but I decided thats not who I am I want to make knives , leather items and make youtube videos. Therefore I said no to monthly salary and am at Gods mercy to give me whatever I need whenever he thinks is right. In this 3 years of working on knives and stuff , so basically I have no idea when I am getting paid , I may get paid three times today or may get paid once two months , noone knows when someone will order something.... And with this money not only I take care of myself but I also take care of my mother , she lives with me , I buy the medicines etc... so that makes it more stressful as not only my stomache depends on it but more importantly my mothers health. Any time I was in bad situation , with like 10$ in my pocket and thinking , what now??? thats when God comes in and throws a couple of orders on me , it not happened once or twice , it happens all the time ! Whenever I helped others and gave those who need like the most I have ever gave thats when I received the biggest orders of all time, wheveer I went to my pastor to confess with my sins on same day or day after I receive orders like literary that happened 20 times or more, it always brings tears to my eyes and unexplained level of happiness that the Lord is watching me and is with me. I love when God uses me as his soldier to help others and do kind things and am paid for that either literary with orders (money) or more important am paid with calm and happiness inside me. Last year when I prayed for my first car so I can make more videos , I got it , in winter when I prayed for new computer as I couldn't make videos on old one any more I got it so I am one of the happiest men out there to realize that God is with me and listening to me. Thanks for sharing this video , todays stupid generation needs more videos like this and more examples like you , people are lost today and they need help to find their father. God bless Nick

Reminds me of a story when my Dad went on a hunting trip. After a couple days of nothing he awoke early the third day and returned to the small field he found with a hollow tree in it. Itd been misting all three days out and he'd been taking shelter in the old hollow tree at the fields edge. He'd given up as you had on hunting. So after a while he starting singing some old church songs, and after a while a 8 point buck wandered right out in front of him. My uncle had said maybe it was because the sound confused the deer and made it curious. But Dad said he thought, really, it was a gift from God for instead of being angry or frustrated for two days of nothing he instead turned to his faith for comfort. He said how could I not be thankful and sing of my Saviour. I had God's love, a family that loved me, good health and time to spend enjoying the Father's creation. He was a devout Christian and I miss him dearly, more everyday. Thanks for posting this, and making me think of a good memory. Take care and God bless both of you. I'm worried about the people I love, but I've been trying keep in mind John 14 :27.

Finding out that the two of you are Christians doesn't surprise me, or bother me, because you're good people. You don't proselytize. You witness by being decent people giving nature-friendly survival advice. I knew you were a decent person before I knew you were a Christian. In 1985, my husband and I were posted to a base in New Brunswick - my first posting. I didn't know anyone on base and our families were all back in Ontario. I was 7 months pregnant with our first and hadn't seen my family for 6 months. I am usually very light-hearted about life but this day I just became so incredibly sad (hormones probably lol). I was sitting in the chair by the window telling Jesus how sad I was, mostly how lonely I was. I suddenly felt like I was being hugged and heard a whisper in my ear - "I am your best friend." I was filled with love and happiness. It's April 2, 2020 and I can still capture the moment. God bless you both in life, Lonnie and Connie :)

I own on a property in Australia; amongst other things I breed and train horses. About a decade ago I was taking a young colt out on his first solo ride, a time requiring complete focus. At that time I had a young family and my life was chaotic - I had to get this horse trained and sold to put food on the table. I was doing it right, but there was a lot of pressure to get him finished. I was far from feeling spiritual I can tell you. He was full of energy, so we headed up hill and crested a ridge in the early morning; below us lay a valley I knew but had never really seen until that day. He planted his feet and I had to choose whether to push him, but i became distracted at what lay before us and saw it through his young eyes. So we stood there and let the beauty wash over us. I felt him relax and shortly afterwards a profound feeling of calm went through me that was so breathtaking I am unable to describe it fully. To this day the memory of how strong it was nearly brings me to my knees. I am not a believer in the supernatural, but I strongly identify with the emotions you express when recalling your experiences. I believe I was given a wake up call and I sincerely hope it happens for everyone. That horse was never sold, he is still with me today.

I recite repeatedly within me this short prayer whenever I sense or see hardship heading my way and my loved ones. "Is there any remover of difficulties save God? Say praise be God, He is God. All are His servants and all abide by His Will." Also, I pray for humility and patience to accept the hardships and to see what wisdom it brings. I appreciate your openess.

no, please,no new wilderness bibleschool. They both must be the same like in the past. His content is cool and its not cool to build another teaching canal. To give testemony is one thing, but to fill traditionell outdoore content with bible is wrong in this time. There is no need of such output. YT creating is like work. Going to work and showing the best caracter and work additues as posible- that speaks for a christian way. Light is not loud it shines only. I love his style and his content as it is. I was 30 years facility manager. Bevor that time I was "working in the red light district" was on drugs and a sex worker. So real normal work became part of my sozialisation process and integration because I never was normal or part of the normal society. Later I cam to Christ (1990 and my healing and chaningprocess started by the holy one) In my new work (I started as a cleaner in the facility management industry) i showed my belive in acting right- formed my aditude against the customer or the collegs or the boss. Never talked about my belive, not out of fear or shame of the gosple no, but for respect for my boss. "He pays me not for talking but working" 20 years later I lost 2 good jobs because of "my past" and my testemony but not because I told them, no, but because of others how know me from the past told my boss that I was once in the redlight and my 2 bosses had fear of me they though I was crazy. 15 years ago I wrote my testemoy book and was more then well known, I was in the news and had a hard time. I had a hope that I could live "from the gosple and the book" but that came not into reality. churches hated me because of my story. Redlightpeople drugeddicts murderers criminals loved me because of my story. So 2 years after my book with my real name came out I had to look again for work as a facility manager. Since that time I was constant under pressure becaue my book was on the market and I was working. Today I dont care. I had times of fear and trembeling but God brought me through gave me a wunderfull wife (Police officer) and HE gave cash as much I needet. Thank God for his support. KZbin today: I also have some YT canals, but hey are not "christian output" but filled with helpfull content like about "sleeping apnoe" and infos about the comp somomed or somnodent the best help for snooring problems (i have that problem). But back to the canal: I thing he could make another video with his testemony, but not more. There are so many solid bibleteacher on the market and I dont wont to hear another one in the wilderness. My life in the big city is also wilderness but in another way. Wild demonic masses of people with hate against the lord and love for evil (its bibel show time endtime) Many say that they are bibel belivers- and I ask "tell me what kind of books you read" or in what kind of teaching you are. 5 godly calls: Apostel, Evangelists (I am one) Prophets, teachers and sheppards. 5. And all have their on department and train the bros and sisters to do what is right. My mentors where: Derek Prince. Frank Hammond. Watchmen Nee. Smith Wiggelsworth.Charles Spurgon. An many other old school man and women of gods person. Many say "iI belong to this congregation". Gues what: Religion is not a worldorganisation. Religion makes more problem then solfing some. Go to a normal sunday serivce: You will find many death saints and few lifing ones :-) Parten my englisch.

It is an amazing exciting journey we get by just one simple act of surrender. Knowing the God that made us will lead and guide us from one joy to another all our lives if we just get quiet and listen. You’re right though it’s not all biscuits and gravy. He goes with us though the rough times. Thanks Lonnie and Connie. You guys are a blessing.

I've been praying a lot lately about many things that you touched on, and at one point I swear I felt as though you were talking directly to me personally, and it strongly reaffirmed my faith! I feel like maybe "something" inside you was really pushing for you to make this video, as I truly needed to hear what you said, and I needed to hear it TODAY! It's funny how God works, and sometimes gets to us through others when we least expect it. I Thank you for this video, I thank God for this video, I can't stress enough how much I needed it! God bless you and God bless Mrs. Connie, stay safe out there!!!

I have wanted to do a similar video for years but the time just was never "right." Last week as I was taking a morning shower, all of a sudden it struck me out of the blue that i should do this video and that *NOW IS THE TIME* . I felt that hit me like a brick. *NOW IS THE TIME* . So from that point I began making plans and getting ready to do the video. Saturday came and it was very windy and I felt I needed to wait. Monday came and same thing (I try not to work on Sunday). I looked at the forecast and i told Connie I plan on recording the video Tuesday. it seemed right. So we did the recording Tuesday, edited Wednesday and Uploaded today. God's timing is perfect.

@@Far-North-Bushcraft-Survival Amen! It never ceases to amaze me how, at the end of a situation/crisis, the whole time God WAS there. The timing is incredible, and I can smile now, but I was not smiling on the days you listed. I didn't ask God for a sign, I try to never put God to the test, but for the first time in a long time, I felt utterly alone and hopeless. I truly felt the Spirit stirring as you spoke, and it felt wonderful. The funniest thing is that I didn't actually see the thumbnail for your video, I pulled down my top menu and a video started loading, I didn't realize what had happened. And then I saw you and Mrs. Connie sitting there, so I threw my headphones on, and now I'm smiling. Praise God. Thanks again, you and yours are always in my prayers, and still will be of course!
