How We Got Our Daughter Into Skating - PART 2: 2yrs-3yrs old

In this 2nd episode of our series showing little Cashys skate progression, we look at her from age 2-3 where her balance and confidence clearly advance rapidly.
What I notice the most looking back at these videos are 2 things.
1. She really loves to go fast. You can see when she’s on her bum or when I’m holding her hand running back and forth. She’s in the zone when she’s going fast. Maybe that’s because since she was little I have always told her for most sports that “it’s a lot easier the faster you go”
2. She’s one real tough little cookie. She has a little fall when we’re on the back concrete pad and she doesn’t cry, yet she walks it off and immediately says she’s ok and wants to get back on. That moment could have ended our session and she didn’t let it. Her strength and resilience is something that as her dad I admire about her. I wish I was that way when I was that little.
This little project has been really fun for me to put together and I really hope y’all are enjoying it as well. Please keep tuned in for Part 3.

It’s a good question. Nick skates all the time and she was always curious into what dad was up to. She loves spinning the wheels on the board as a super young baby. Her parents were starting to perfect her balance to later become the phenomenal snowboarder she's growing into. Creative, loving parents teaching skills Cashy is now using in all her athletic endeavors. Her confidence and love of sports you parents have instilled in her. Great parenting.

@@munterboy1744 you are speaking about you and your child I’m speaking about them and their child. How can you compare one to another. Different people , different lifestyles and different perspectives and personalities. It’s one thing to take your child with you to a skatepark and watch you and a completely different thing to take your child and be active hands on with them. This does not take away anything from your sons abilities and skills as a young 3 yr old who learns by watching you but this ability doesn’t contribute at all to what is going on with this Rowley family. I definitely plan to introduce skating to my kids in the future when their young, not forcing them to skate but it would be very fun to have a skate buddy. I don’t even know how to skate I’m getting my first skateboard when it’s summer break but I already know it’s going to be so much fun and I can’t stop thinking abt it.
