Everything looks so good! Thanks for the update! I have about 20 Dalhias I grew from the Floret seeds that were included with the book growing beautifully! They're about 1 foot tall & are about to be planted in the ground! 👏 🤗 I've been getting so many things planned in the landscape & in the cutflower garden, I'm so excited! I invested a lot in this cutflower garden & am growing so many things I've never grown before so I got it goes well! I also invested into a lot of Biotone this year, with the success Laura (Garden Answer) has, I'm hoping things do great, & I'm going the things I've grown before, but never used biotone does a lot better than normal!

Being originally from Iowa, I love to watch your videos. I hope you do a video that announces when you will be ready to sell more Dahlia tubers. I know that this is several months from now, I would just like to keep you guys in mind when I am ready to purchase more.

Great tip on using mulch. I will try that this fall! And I will also try the cayenne pepper for tulips and other plants. Do you know if it also deters rabbits?

No idea about rabbits. They’re not something we struggle with yet.

Hi Anne! They dislike the spicy red pepper (smell and taste) so it keeps them away.

Beautiful beds...Great job, everything is looking so good. The cyan-pepper , is that sprinkled on before the tulip emerges, or sprinkle on the growth too?

Sprinkled liberally when they are planted in fall and again in late winter/early spring before they emerge

I'm a new flower farmer in Canada, this was my first year growing tulips for selling! I love your method of growing them in mulch, seems so much easier than digging trenches. Just wondering what do you use for mulch-- it looks like wood chips?

What do you do with the bulbs for next year

We cut them off, then drop them off out in a naturalized bulb garden and cover with mulch.

When you harvest your tulips do you keep the bulbs in a bit of water until you are ready to use them? And do you replant them after you cut them off?

We don’t keep them in water with the bulb attached. We’ll find some place to plant the bulbs afterwards but won’t use them again for cuts.
