That so much my hope! It’s easy to think it’s other things that are memorable - but for me as a child, it was those personal cakes and simple fun moments and not the “stuff” at all! And pizzas are always a win! 🍕

Hi 👋🏾 I think that was a brilliant party idea! I suspect that this party was much more enjoyable for everyone than hiring a venue. And I expect the other parents were happy not to have bags of plastic stuff to take home. And the food! I feel cheated that my birthday parties were not like this. I'll refrain from complaining to my parents 😅😅😂

I’m always happy not to have a plastic bag of bits 😆 It’s funny how so many parents do prefer less plastic or less sugar but we all just keep doing the ‘normal’ thing cos we think it’s what everyone wants.

Looks like a fab party! I’m so there with you on the party bags, I either don’t do them at all or it’s a colouring page and a couple of stickers in a paper bag, there is so much plastic waste in those things usually… Lol at the 3 yo hiding your starter, I’ll bet you find it in a bag somewhere! Just saying cos I also have a 3 yo who is having a phase of putting things in bags 😂

I love the idea of a colouring page for smaller kids! And I found the starter - it was buried in my pots and pans cupboard 🤪 Oh 3 year olds. I have a Tile on my keys and I have rescued them from many a bag!
