on the hydrolic pump did you hook the power cord to the nmea network or direct to 12 volt?

You need to Pause the sonar when the transducer is out of the water.

Did you see an improved response time on your charts given you installed the precision 9 compass? My boat did not come with a compass so my heading information is limited to GPS. I am hoping a precision 9 compass will improve chart turn rate and heading information.

Not much to be honest I never realized a difference, however I am still having issues with what is believed to be my pump. The bot will make hard right turns continuously in a circle as soon as I go into autopilot while on plane. And while at slow speeds it drifts off course continuously. I’ve brought it somewhere and they couldn’t figure it out and I’ve already gotten a new computer with no difference.

@Capture Project One We have tried and the variance is almost perfect in the t top. While talking to simrad I told them it was not near batteries or anything like that and the variance I told them was almost zero so they said compass was fine. We have a new pump but am so busy with work and school I have not had time to fix it.

Why didn't you place the compass inside the center console?

Simrad recommends it being 3 feet away from speakers so there is less interference, so I had to put it up top due to there being two speakers on the console itself.

@@SeaShift that makes a lot of sense because the speakers have magnets and would interfere with the compass. Thanks... great looking vessel

@@SeaShift the cable that connects with the pumps red & black. There is a blue & yellow wire with the red & black

Well first off make sure you get all the air out of the pump. Didn’t work properly for first 7 months because I refused to believe there was still air in the pump. However ever since then I have used it every trip offshore and I it was well worth the investment. The kit I purchased from Amazon still required some extra purchases for installation but the autopilot is a MUST HAVE from now on!

Info is good. But poor video way to much movement you will make people sick watching it. Next time slow your movements way down.
