Here at Sprinter IT we work hard to build the best techs around, we often hire experienced techs as well - but attention to detail and knowledge against a resume is key.
here in our LV lab you'll find a basic setup, and a few in-wall obstacles where we discover if you know how to use a vacuum and make your faceplates level or if you start throwing tools when you hit an old window frame.... compression or set screw conduit outside? which do you choose...
Hiring apprentices based in Wisconsin, experienced techs who can bring a hustle and detail to travel sites around America from anywhere in the USA near a major airport.

Thanks Chris! This is an excellent outside the box approach to technical interviewing. Love it!

This is a great method. I do hvac and a lot of training of younger techs. Providing a space for hands on work before stepping into a customers property will save a ton of aggravation and uncomfortable conversations

Tough to find the good guys out there! Just spent 5 weeks in a data center and omg… Their techs should have taken this training. 300+ fiber lines in a 4U cable management bay and I have to find one with the same color.

Good Lord that would be painful, unfortunately our industry is riddled with un-trained folks, and we're no Saint so always trying to get better

I think it's a great way to test and teach. What I do not require a lot of those components, so it is following or manipulating what is put up for us. I am just seeking to get certified in it I feel it will help me overall. The company I work for is coast to coast work and overseas if needed.

Wow!! What an investment, but I'm sure it paid off quickly by not hiring the wrong people. Could you do some packout and vehicle tours? Also, any other investments like this your business has made.

I wouldn't mind coming and doing this just for fun....lol. You guys should expand into training and education as an additional revenue stream for the company, could perhaps become a BICSI ATF, or just do your own thing separate of BICSI.

It's in the plans! I am looking to build out a full practical lab, with bicsi atf as well. It'll be 1-2 yrs yet but it's planned for!

To be honest there should have been more training in school for it or an accelerated program

100% agree, Chris (owner) here and the IT Networking program I was a part of in college taught nothing usable. It's unfortunate really

@@SprinterBusiness when I graduated college (web master at the time) my professor use to take me on side jobs for cable installs and server setups. I was out of my element for all it at the time. Was more of a software guy, power user and desktop specialist. Took quite a long time to learn how small businesses, enterprises and non profits worked. Took even forever to really really learn about structured cabling by scraping things on the internet together

I may be accepting a job and i have literally no experience. Im very nervous. He knows i have no experience. So i decided id start watching youtube to get a jump on it. im just so tired of being a nobody in a kitchen when im a really smart person and hard worker. God i hope this guy isn’t making a mistake hiring me. I hope i finally found an out, and finally have the income to land a partner who isn’t a piece of shit. I just want a family.
