wow, so much bad information. You can cut this list about in half. Machine repairer and rewinder? The rewinding is done by a machine- we electricians go buy a new... anything with windings and install it. Industrial, commercial, residential, low voltage, outside linesman (like PGnE) and marine. Auto ,electricians aren't electricians, they're mechanics that are good at diagnostics and they don't go to an electricians apprenticeship course and don't get paid anything close to what electricians make. All those specialties fall under one of the categories I just mentioned. If you wanna be one go to school to be an inside wireman then you'll be trained to do commercial, inside and out and residential and some low voltage crap too. Electricians make great money and union jobs are the best and they have a real strong union. Outside linesman, marine and industrial jobs pay the most and are a bit more dangerous. If you got into the union at 18 you'd easily own your own home and have a few million in your pension by the time you retire. So now . . ya know

@@BoxingIntelligence I got lucky with this job. I just graduated with an associate in electrical systems. I have no pass experience. I only have in class training and learning. At first it was hard finding a job because where I live you have to already have experience or know someone in the company. Luckily an alumni that was in the same program as me was willing to train anyone that’s either graduated or in the process of graduating and is ready to work. I gave that person a message and I got the job. Hopefully you can find someone willing to train you. Just show you’re ready to learn!

Hello, my son wants to be an electrician, he is a truck driver currently. He has been looking for which one is more convenient to learn; School of trades; College: JATC apprenticeship. There are schools online too. Could you give us an advice what would be better for him to go to learn? Do you think online school is a good option so he can work as truck driver and make school on his free time? ... One second question: After the school, how long will he have to be in apprenticeship before to get a state license? ... Thank you!!

As an auto technician turned commercial electrician I am so tired of seeing these stupid videos with stock footage showing 50% of the workforce as women - in 14 years of working in the trades I can think of two actual women that I have worked with hands on and neither of them were any good at all. 🙄
