Do you have a story of hope? A place where you go and see the vibrant beauty of the world? A hike that you’ve been on that made you stand in awe of our earth? A favourite flower, season, colour, animal or place? Have you ever looked at the world and felt the power of hope? And imagined a brighter future?

When I think of a better world, my mind immediately drifts to a place where nature and humanity coexist harmoniously. In my vision of utopia, the air is fresh and crisp, filled with the scent of wildflowers, and the oceans are vibrant and teeming with life. People live with empathy and kindness at the forefront, driven by a deep respect for the earth and each other. I imagine communities working together, sharing resources, and prioritizing sustainability. There's an abundance of green spaces where we can feel grounded, whether it's walking through a sun-dappled forest or watching a sunset over the mountains. It’s a world where technology enhances life but never at the cost of nature’s beauty. One moment that always fills me with hope is hiking to a remote viewpoint where the landscape stretches for miles, untouched and wild. It’s in these moments of stillness, looking out at the vastness of the earth, that I feel the deep connection between all living things. It makes me believe that with hope and action, we can create a future where this beauty isn't just preserved but celebrated. Hope to me is a favorite flower in bloom, the vibrant shades of autumn, or the smile of a stranger that sparks joy. It’s about believing in the power of small actions to lead to big change. And yes, I imagine a brighter future-one where we all find our place in this shared home, taking care of it for generations to come. 🌿✨

I live in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Our area was hit by an unprecedented and devastating hurricane a few weeks ago. Many are still without water or power, roads are destroyed, entire towns have been washed away, and people are still stranded. Not to mention the number of lives that have been lost. Amid all of this, volunteers and line workers from all over the country and Canada have swarmed in to help. No politics, no judgment of differences… We are doing this as a community. Seeing the amount of tireless support and love and witnessing my beloved home in the aftermath, it is the contrast of this incredible love that gives me absolute hope that we can rebuild.❤

I live in a town in the foothills of western South Carolina and we got some of hurricane Helene's fury with a foot of rain in 30 hours and high winds, but not nearly as bad as western North Carolina. While I was blessed to not get any major damage and power was out for only 4 days, I saw parts of houses and cars nearby get crushed by falling trees. But I also saw neighbors that barely talked to each other come together and help others out. It was a sight to behold. So there is some beauty in all the devastation and destruction. I feel for western North Carolina and have made donations to charities helping out and continue to pray for the continued and long recovery.

The only beauty I see in the world is through your eyes there in the mountains. I find such peace, calm when I watch it videos. My wife and I are living in a food forest in central California. We make home made wine and are picking fresh home grown fruit every day year around. we had a very hot summer where the heat got 115 degrees more than once. Life is a amazing adventure. Phoenix, AZ is peppered with nature preserves. I spent years hiking many times a week in the desert preserves around the northern edge of Phoenix. Large, many trails. You can spend hours hiking. Hills to climb with great views from top. Rattlesnakes. Vibrant colors in some seasons. I wish I was still there.

Thank you Julia and Anastasia for taking care of the food sources in your area,God's animals. The animals are blessed to have both of you to oversee their development,care. In your area, do have issues with Ticks getting on the animals,your dog too and be careful that the ticks don't attach to the both of you ? The long dresses that both of you wear may be helpful to keep the ticks from you. Check yourself often after walking through tall grass outside. I went camping in a park on a long weekend and when I returned to work Monday, one of the Massage Therapist that I work with at the Physical Therapy Clinic found one on my back that I didn't notice was there. My boss removed it.

I imagine my utopia would be where, people, modernized people, were no longer alienated from nature, and most of the other beings we share this planet with. Where all could come back to having respect and admiration for all of nature , and loosing all want to exploit and dominate the natural world. Jesse, when you think about it we are the only creatures on the planet afraid of our own natural state of being, esp. when it comes to the bodies of our fellow humans. There’s so much to put into answering this question… but I just hope the small acts of everyone like moving a toad safely from the road, or replanting and strengthening your own territory of rainforest(💚), makes a powerful ripple against all the bad we humans commit to Mother Earth. I luv you guys even though I’ve never met ya😊

I'm trying to do something with my little front yard, we do have a Mango Tree that my Granny planted back in 1975, the sweetest Mangoes ever, and i also have a Cherry Tree planted from a seed from some cherries that i bought my wife when she was pregnant with out Daughter, took out the ugly stone wall that was falling down around the property and put up a 5 foot chain link fence, and planted various colour Hibiscus plants on the outside of the fence, rebuilding a Lilly Pond that my Dad built and rebuilding a fountain that Dad and I had built some 40 years ago, in the midst of it i just built a bench that's under the Mango tree , somewhere to relax and slow down, then there's the large pink Crocus and the smaller yellow ones, i have 7 dogs so i have to put things where they cant make a mess of them as they romp and play, planning to make my little front yard into an oasis of tranquility, with the plants and flowers I'm seeing more birds now, the usual Black Birds, Sparrows, Yellow Breasts , Shines, Pigeons and the occasional Hummingbird. A few Butterflies showing up and when the pond id rebuilt i expect there will be dragonflies too. Loving the changes so far. By the way i'm on the other side of the world, I'm in Barbados in the West Indies.
