Great video! I use these same ideas (find a local spot, take slow days) whenever I'm visiting a place for more than a few days. Years ago, I rented an apartment in Paris for a month and got to know the local cocktail bar 'pretty well' haha, as well as the bakeries and supermarkets. When you do that, it doesn't take long to lift the veil of what a city is really like beyond the tourist perspective.

Exactly! There’s so much more beneath the surface of these places 😍 we feel very fortunate to get to see a little more.

Loving seeing your journey in Sydney. One thing to consider is checking out the wonderful diversity in Sydney. Understandably most of what you have done so far is along the beautiful coast, but consider checking out some suburbs in the West...they are super interesting and a different side of Sydney. I would recommend 1) Cabramatta - A very Vietnamese suburb with incredible food. 2) Harris Park- little India, 3)Burwood Chinatown - it's superb. Thanks!

Oh wow, love these suggestions, we will definitely try to fit some of this in to our upcoming plans 😍

A few suggestions for some slightly off the radar Sydney adventures: Firstly the Spit to Manly walk. Swim in the many beaches on the walk especially the wild Washaway Bay. Finish off with a meal at the Boathouse at Shelly Beach. The start of the walk, The Spit is a short bus ride from the city centre. Secondly take a ferry from Circular Quay to Sydney Olympic Park. Once there, hire some bikes and ride amongst the mangroves in the Newington reserve, and around the Olympic park. Including a swim in the Olympic Aquatic centre.
@staryoshi0610 ай бұрын
Great to see you having a great time and blending in! I should clarify something for any other prospecting travellers: The ferry is not 66c. When you tap on for the first time you get a $1 AUD (~66c USD) authorisation on your card. At the end of the day it finalises at your total public transport fare cost which can take a couple days to show up with your bank. The actual ferry fare is around $6 aud which is still pretty alright for the views you get though :)

There is an amazing coatal walk from Manly beach. Also you should take the ferries up the Parramarta river. Therr are so mamy good stops along the way.

Love the video guys. Head out to Katoomba (Blue Mountains), check out our amazing vineyards at the Hunter Valley and if possible, see some of the worlds most amazing beaches and sands along the South Coast of New South Wales. Aussies are one of the friendliest people on the planet, our animals are unique (some are scary but hey, it makes it all interesting) and you would never run out of new things to see, no matter where you go. Enjoy your travels and God Bless you both.

Room 10 and Peña are great. And owned by the same people. In my opinion the owners have managed to instill the greatest worth ethic and efficient service without sacrificing on quality. They will join the Sydney hospitality “Hall of Fame”. They are role models of mine. So glad you guys liked it and hyped it. Love you vids of my city. Keep it up. In my opinion the best walk in Sydney is called the Hermitage walk. From near rose Bay to Watson bay, you pass the nicest small secluded beaches. Also Potts Point where I used to live and it’s where I met my wife, quite possibly the best suburb in Sydney in my opinion.

Yesss the owners are absolutely fantastic. After the first day that we visited Room 10 - they remembered both of our names every time from then on! And all of the staff is unbelievably kind. A few of them even watch our KZbin videos now because they asked us what we were filming - they talk to us about our videos and give us new suggestions whenever we see them haha. All around AMAZING people!!

Really enjoying your vlogs and love seeing my home city through your eyes! Wendy’s Secret Garden has a wonderful back story and it is a hidden treasure that unfortunately remained hidden! Her garden is still a secret because you missed it :) You were in Clark Park overlooking the secret garden! If you venture forward to the edge of the grass in front of you you’ll see a path down into the garden which is hidden from where you were. It’s worth going back I promise you! Anyway, keep up the great work and I love your videos :)

Hi guys I'm really enjoying your videos. Such positivity! I hope you did eventually find Wendy's Secret Garden as you were sitting in Clark Park which is above the Secret Garden which Wendy created for everyone to enjoy on what was overgrown disused railway yards. The house she shared with her famous artist husband Brett Whiteley is to the right of where you were sitting enjoying the magnificent harbour views. Anyway keep up the great work!!!👍 You have introduced me to new cafes to visit when I holiday (from Victoria).

Hey guys - just discovered you and loving the content. Welcome to my home town. Hope you’re still enjoying it. Okay, insiders guide: 1. Missing Asia - outside of Haymarket/Chinatown, go to a Cabramatta, Burwood or Eastwood and immerse yourself. Insanely good cheap food. 2. For harbour fun - Cockatoo Island and Watsons Bay. Ferries from Circular Quay. 3. Food: Indian - Harris Park; Korean - Strathfield; Turkish - Auburn; Lebanese/Middle Eastern - Lakemba & Merrylands - all on train lines. 4. Animals: Taronga and Featherdale if you want to pat kangaroos. 5. Nature: Blue Mountains - UNESCO listed; hire a boat (no licence needed on the Hawkesbury River. Hire car and take Ocean Drive to Kiama via Wollongong. Plenty more suggestions if you want. Have fun!

I read in the comments u r going to The Blue Mountains. Make sure to walk down The Giant Staircase where you can sit inside one of the famous Three Sisters rock formation and at the bottom of the staircase is a walk along the river in a rainforest which leads to a railway which takes you back to the top. Also check out Wentworth Falls hike where there is a beautiful staircase which takes you through the middle of the waterfall and goes all the way to the bottom. The walk back up is good exercise for you 😂. There are also cabins for stargazing as there is less light pollution there. Also, a little further past the Blue Mountains is Jenolan Caves which are some of the most beautiful caves in the world. Take the tour with the crystal clear river running through the cave. Outside there is a blue lake naturally blue from the cave minerals and full of platypus but it might be temporarily closed as I read theyre doing landscaping to make it more touristy.

Breaking Bad is available on another SVOD in Australia, STAN. You guys don't necessarily have to miss out on your favourite programs, just don't fall into the trap of looking for the content found in one region of the world on the same platform in another region. By rigidly sticking to what you know when you are travelling you are missing out on much content made locally.
