Head for Bundeena and do the hike to Wedding Cake rock and then continue to Big Marley beach . You are walking a long a cliff line to a spectacular beach . Most people only hike to Wedding Cake Rock which is fenced off because it is unstable but only a handful of people continue to Big Marley beach which is part of the Royal National Park .

The grounds of Alexandria is a fun and quirky place with different installations. Newtown and King street for vintage shops. If you like peanut butter there is a peanut butter bar/ restaurant 😂 The Glenmore bar has a cool view of the Opera House without being too touristy. Wholegreen bakery CBD cafe is a favourite of mine as everything is gluten free! Oakberry acai bowls or D bowls in Bondi (plus 1000 other acai places in Bondi). While you’re there do the Bondi to bronte walk along the water. Been watching you for a while, so exciting to see you in my backyard! 💗

Watsons Bay is great at sunset and there is a beer garden. Camp Cove is a nearby beach and is great. Icebergs have a pub downstairs from the restaurant and you can sit outside, it's an amazing view of Bondi. I love Watamolla Beach which is in the National Park about an hour South of Sydney. It's better to go on a weekday. Berry, Berrima and Kangaroo Valley are also great little towns a couple of hours out of Sydney. Hyams beach is also amazing, also better to go on a weekday.

Living in Australia, we are used to ultra long haul flights. We have flown into Honolulu, San Francisco , LA, Dallas as well as Vancouver. Both Dallas and Vancouver are 14 hour non stop flights. Travelling to Europe we always have to have a layover. Whenever we travel to the States we always return via Hawaii. Hawaii is our favourite place in the world next to our hometown of Sydney. Enjoy Sydney. I’m following you now to see how you enjoy Australia.

Suggest two amazing walks, firstly the Spit Bridge to Manly Beach Walk and secondly the walk from Bondi Beach beach to Bronte Beach. Also day trip to Echo Point at Katoomba in the Blue Mountains. Also take the bus from Wynyard in the city to Palm Beach.

You guys look ridiculously stylish despite the rigorous travelling schedule. I'm doing 6 hours Montreal to Vancouver, 2 hour lay-over then 16 hours to Sydney soon. I am dreading the flights, but so excited.

If you want awesome scenic views, on a clear day go to the Blue Mountains it will take your breath away. Bondi (because it's famous but it's a good beach too), Manly (a better beach, bigger). There's a rotating restaurant on top of Centrepoint Tower (might be a bit expensive but the food is good and the view great, you can see the entire city while you mung out, Aussie slang, you have to book though.) Hope you have the time of your lives, Cheers.

Oxford Street Paddington, Five Ways Paddington, Crown Street Surry Hills, Glebe Point Road Glebe, King Street Newtown, the eastern suburbs beaches (Tamarama, Bronte, Coogee), all worth a visit, a ramble and lunch or dinner. You can see where my heart lies!

Further suggestions..... Parramatta Park, Lake Parramatta, Cockatoo Island, the Quarantine Station at North Head - These are well worth a visit. Also do Ferry trips from Circular Quay to Parramatta, from the Quay to Manly and Balmain/Birchgrove. Take a swim in a beach side rock pool. BUT ALWAYS WEAR 50+ SUNSCREEN and make full use of Broad brimmed hats.

So happy to see you guys in my city!! some recommendations: Palm Beach 🏝 Bistecca (THE Aussie steak house in CBD) Newtown (soo many cool cafes and vintage clothes stores) Glebe Saturday market AP house in the city (Bakery cafe) --try the avocado toast they are my fav. Bakers Blue in Double bay (Another nice bakery) The Art Gallery of NSW is pretty cool. Checkout the TANK in the new building you won't regret it. Also, The Museum of Contemporary Art in Circular Quay is my fav too. The best of The Australian Art scene today. Potts Point is such a nice place to stay! Enjoy your stay and most of all, experience the Aussie way! We are the early birds, we love the nature, and we love cafes and coffee culture 💕

A cruise around the harbour is always worthwhile. If you want to do it 'on the cheap' you can just get a standard ferry ticket (for the commuter ferry) which will take you around the whole harbour. Or you can spend a lot for a proper cruise. The food and coffee in Sydney is great... check out the restaurants near the Opera House as well. There's also some popular bars, like Blu Bar which give amazing views over Sydney.
@therocknerd400511 ай бұрын
Second the ferry suggestion, if you want to go slightly off the beaten path, get a ferry to Watson's Bay before dusk and go to South Head, great view of the ocean and back across the harbour as the sunsets over the city. And if you like Ramen, Gumshara in Chinatown is incredible, but get there early as there's almost always a queue.
@ianmaher434811 ай бұрын
My favorite walk in Sydney is the Cremorne Point and Mosman Bay walk. Catch an Uber to Bogatar St in Neutral Bay the walk starts there. Walk all the way to Mosman Bay Ferry Wharf and catch the ferry back to Circular Quay. There is an area of remnant rainforest on the walk, trees with multiple trunks, large ferns, etc.

Sydney Taronga Zoo is amazing, you can jump on a ferry from Circular Quay.. Also a great way to see Sydney harbour. One afternoon on a clear day head to Coogee Pav rooftop bar for a drink and you can see the amazing sunset on the beach there too(busy on weekends though). Some amazing smaller beaches, balmoral, milk beach, shark beach, gordans bay, clovelly beach! xxx enjoy!

Another fave is Hugo's in manly for a good day session - great vibe and food. Vacanza in Surry Hills - good pizza. Of course the Opera bar, cause of the views around, great for a drink and some finger foods ;) Anyway, there are so many great restaurants in Sydney.

A few must do's. Take a ferry to Manly beach it is a great way to see the harbor. You can stop off at Taronga zoo on the way if that's of interest. A train ride to the Blue mountains 1hr. Do the Bondi to Bronte coastal walk. Hope you have a fun time in Sydney.
@DeepThought999911 ай бұрын
Manly ferry does not stop at Taronga Zoo. It’s a separate ferry from Circular Quay to the zoo. Take a train to Katoomba in the Blue Mountains (it’s 2 hrs) and then a short bus ride to Echo Point (views and walks including near the Three Sisters and then climb down the Giant Staircase and take a nice level walk through the forest past Katoomba Falls to below Scenic World from where you can climb the steps up to the top or ride the world’s steepest train up to the top and take the other scenic rides). Or take the bus to Scenic World (more views, scenic cable cars, world’s steepest train, more walks) to see the best of the Blue Mountains. Did I mention that it’s all very scenic? Allow a full day for this trip. Best avoid this on a day with rain though: the clouds block the views.

Congrats on getting to down under. Next time consider the United or AA/qantas direct flight from LAX to SYD. But I assume you’re maybe an Alaskan FF. Potts point is a wonderful area, but not as diverse as the rest of sydney so definitely explore. Check out fish markets (especially on the weekends), newton rest and cafes. For more ethnic fare head to paramatta. And the best middle eastern food is in Lakemba. Head to the blue mountains for a the beautiful vista and central coast for some calm. So much to do that your month will fly by! And yes your 4k camera footage is great. Even in lowlight.

I'm currently on exchange in Edinburgh but I live in Sydney's eastern suburbs. Pina/Room 10 among my favourite breakfast spots. Off the top of my head i recommend Smalls Deli in potts point for some of the best sandwiches in the world, the Prophet is my favourite lebanese, Huberts and Caterpillar Room in the city are some of best date/dine/drink spots. Raw Bar Japanese at Bondi Beach, Arte Bianca for italian in double bay, some argue Totti's is really good too, a place called Kindred, Kukthai/Chat thai, Hanoi on king in newtown, Margarets double bay, Next Door double bay, or Baker Bleu double bay for a great bakery/coffee spot. For the best croissant pastries etc go to Flour and Stone and Iggy's bakery in Bronte (also best bread). All of these places I recommended are objectively really good quality I swear. There's heaps more too so you guys have come to the right place. Keep doing what you doing. Any questions just shoot me a message or reply :)
