Great video! I went white water rafting over 30 years ago and loved it and wanted to go again. However, life and the Navy got in the way. I loved that your guide was so informative on your rafting trip. Arches National Park looks amazing, I can't wait to retire and start seeing all the national parks. I'm looking forward to watching your canoeing adventures.

Thanks, Ben! Thank you for your service! How many years were you in the Navy?

@LesbiFITAdventures I did 30 years in the Navy and retired as a MCPO. I've been working for the Navy ever since, and I plan on retiring 31 DEC 24 and going full-time RVing and visiting all the national parks in the lower 48 and Alaska.

Damn, so should I stick to lead acid batteries? I don't want to contribute to the bs. Which is better for the planet?
@mommasonthemove91444 ай бұрын
My research says lithium is better, but I don't want to destroy the planet for it. I guess either way, it's harmful. Grrr!!!

This is a great question and one we ask ourselves all the time. I won't pretend to know the answer. For us, it's about using things until they can no longer be used. We buy only what we need, fight against consumerism, etc., as best as possible. We have 2 lithium batteries and a propane generator. Power comes from coal when plugged into electricity on the grid, like in a home. At the end of the day, the best thing anyone can do for the environment is eat less meat. We are not vegan but have radically reduced our consumption of animal products. I think the name of the game is not to buy the "right product" but to buy fewer products as a whole. As we travel, we hope to learn more and more, and when we eventually find a landing spot, I hope to plant a food forest!
