I think it’s awesome you’re making your children’s food....you know exactly what’s going into their sweet little bellies! You should try sweet peas, green beans and spinach...if they’re not crazy about the veggies you can mix it in they’re sweet potatoes or apples.... You guys are seriously doing such a wonderful job as parents...it’s wonderful watching those beautiful little girls grow!

You could use all the veggie scraps to make your own veggie stock. A lot of stock from the store have lots of sodium even the low sodium ones, making your own you know what goes in it. I use my veggie stock in pasta I make for my 1 year old and soups. She loves it.

You can make compost with any vegetable food scraps. The compost can be used to fertilize plants in your garden. Google making compost from kitchen scraps. Clear a space on your lawn cover it with twigs for air then add food scraps, cover with grass or soil and leave it until it breaks down, turn it over about every two weeks; if it gets hot insert a piece of PVC pipe so it doesn't overheat. This is just an amateur synopsis, check Google or better yet KZbin.
