@@SuzanneStewart-j2e Hi, thank you so much for your comment and watching our video. We really appreciate you! When I first met my husband, he was a new found Christian. As a new found Christian there are a lot of things you just don’t know about God and the Bible. Since he was a new found Christian the topic of sex before marriage was not familiar to him. To be honest I come across a lot of people day to day being in my field and a lot of people don’t believe in waiting for sex until marriage and they profess to be a Christian. When I prayed for my husband, I didn’t ask God for a man who new his word front to back but I prayed for him to know him as his Lord and Savior and be willing to grow together in his word and develop a stronger relationship with the Lord. One of the signs from God that he was my husband was that when I showed him what the command was in the Bible he respected my boundaries and continued to run towards Christ with me. I don’t want to place the blame on leaders in the church because we as adults need to take accountability and read the word of God ourselves and learn what pleased God, learn his character by reading his word daily because we should always be studying to show ourselves approved. By no means are we perfect, and will never claim to be. I will say after visiting my husband church maybe 6 months into our courtship his pastor did a series on waiting until marriage to have sex and the same for my church. My pastor is very open about the topic because him and his wife actually waited. Thank you again for your comment. I pray I answered your question in love which is always my intention.
