Unfortunately, anyone who is in the cult self isolates from the unclean, excommunicated members. That sister happens to be one of them. I think my father is still alive, but if he passed, or if anything happened to him or my mother or anyone in the cult, they would not share that information. I would have to scour local news outlets just in case, which is difficult when I'm no longer sure where they may be living.

This was unfortunate Yes you both have acknowledged the hurt you brought to Anu’s family I’m happy you have reconnected with both sides of the family that was open to connect and this is all in the past. But I want you two to also pat your backs that you both had fathers whose style of parenting was controlling and/or authoritarian ( more for Pablo than Anu) These fathers understandably did what they felt and know it’s best parenting. Clearly Pablo’s dad style is extreme. Could he have an underlying personality disorder? Anyone who grows up is such an environment may be attracted to others with trauma as well. The beauty is that you found each other and worked through your childhood traumas, religious indoctrination. Your commitment to each other, your transparent communication regardless of all what you had gone through shows the beauty of your hearts and who your really are in the core Thank God you are free and know better. This cycle is broken and your children will hopefully be raised differently to be the best of who the are while being guided by parents in love . Not a parenting style that breeds fear or cripple reasoning, individuality and God given potential

Pablo's father really had a hold on his family. Fortunately I was delivered from that spirit of control. Jesus was always with me . I knew it but I had to get the support of my spiritual director. I am free, in the name of Jesus. KARMA is taking its toll on the wicked now.
