The box method is great fora team. For my personal collection at home im utilizing the spreadsheet to keep track but 2 inch binders with Archtypes on removable labels as more supports get added to the game and certain archtypes mix. Its great for searching engines quickly. I was keeping 6 of each but i keep so few constructed decks that 3 makes more sense since im only lookng to tote 1-2 rogue decks and 1 heavy duty meta deck to tournaments. If its not sorted by archtype i do by relase/year, AGOV and Rarity in same book and in order to simplify.
@Anonymous-yh4rh3 жыл бұрын
That's what I did, I did Dark & Light, Earth & Water, Fire & Wind, Spell, Traps in ABC order. And I wrote them all down for the same reason. So I don't have to sit there and look through it to see if I have it or not. But I don't do it by Effect to Normal monster.

The way I sort my cards is by set and card number in the set, when you start sorting all cards you have by summoning/card mechanic and type and attribute, it gets way too put of hand quick. When you organize by set, you just look up the set and what cards are in it and boom you go there to find it.
@ajbXYZcool3 жыл бұрын
Except aren't some cards reprinted in certain sets? How do you keep track of which printing you have?
@theother1s220 Жыл бұрын
@@ajbXYZcoolthis is true, but also isn’t an issue for yugioh collections. All yugioh cards have the set they belong to printed on the card itself, just below the artwork for the card. The set is usually represented by 4 letters, but some sets do contain numbers as well. Examples of sets are DASA, BLMR, SESL, MP21, and DUDE. So reprints are easily distinguishable by looking at the set.
@ajbXYZcool Жыл бұрын
@@theother1s220 OK fair enough! I'm not sure if I like having to look up which sets a card is in if I want to find it within my collection. By the time I know I want to get a card I know what it's appropriate stats are, and I wouldn't want to consider which printings I do/do not have so I could go to the right set binder/box.
@theother1s220 Жыл бұрын
@@ajbXYZcool I think that the level and style of organizing highly differs from person to person. Organizing by set doesn't work for me personally, as I would rather organize cards by card name and if it is an extra deck monster, ritual, effect, etc. And separating monsters from spells and traps. I do alphabetize to an extent, mainly to help me know if I own any copies of a specific card I am looking for.

Yha i think this is something people should tell their friends and stuff when the people they know wants to get into trading card game is know what you want to buy and if you want to be a collector be ready to have so many staples of cards just pilled up. Also know if your locals take bundles as some can or make creative decks from them to make the pile shorter.
