Custom matching paint is a lost art. Most body shops don't go to that extreme anymore. Kudos to this shop.

I have the half doors on my sarge 392 XR. I love the factory look as well. I also put a besttop sun rider and the convenience of opening everything up leaving the camper on, and closing and buttoning back up is amazing. Riding this way still gives some security to items in the very back but still gives a quick open air experience when you want.

The doors came out great. I would perhaps add a bit of rtv silicone between the doors and new hinges for extra protection. I understand that mostly ever single new JL have the door corrosion issue and also some in other places. They say that it’s the new aluminum body . What’s really causing this issue ? Looking forward to the next video explaining. I also see that after 2022 the Jeeps came with a gasket between the door and hinges. It still doesn’t explain the corrosion on other body panels.

Those look sick man! I went the other way and had mine wrapped in HVY. My buddy owns a wrap shop and he spent the time to color match the vinyl and print it in-house, so they match perfectly. #OzoneJL

I once came across a forum post (forgot where) that went into detail about making the B-pillar (the part that sticks between the doors anyway) removeable on the JK Wrangler. Also not sure if I saw it there, but it was mentioned that it was not possible on the JL Wrangler as the body was more integrated with the "sport cage".

Yeah it’s def part of the Jeep’s Sport Cage aka Roll Cage… My point was strictly aesthetics. Perhaps even when the uppers are on, the Bpillar in flat black may blend in better too.

The half doors are awesome, and the only way to go. I purchased half doors with premium uppers for our 392 XR and love them. I'm curious what was the cost to have them painted? Last year I located a set of new take off painted Rubicon highline fenders for our 2022 sport, I went to about six body shops to get them painted nobody wanted to paint them, I found one shop, and they gave me a price of $1,500, the fenders were already wet sanded and ready for primer, and this was to paint them black. needless to say they are still in my garage. I'm guessing to paint your doors, was not cheap!

NICE! I was on the fence about ordering my 2023 wrangler in the limited purple. I was ordering half doors and as you well know you couldn’t get matching color half doors when ordering a limited color, I was like WTF?!?! I watched your video on getting the black half doors and I said screw it im gonna get black half doors, that won’t look to bad with purple. I was one day late on ordering the purple the color was discontinued the day before so I ended up getting the pearl blue and I was able to get matching half doors . I love the blue but the purple is bad ass. How much did the paint job cost?
