Been watching Squishy Muffins since C9 and the first couple salt mines where his rein of Alpha was amazing to watch. Still love to watch him as his skill has never left, but he has made everyone that had to play against him have to get better and up the skill cap. I’m 38 turning 39 and have played the game since it originally released. Still love to watch his content, he will always be the GOAT. 🫶🏻

I don’t understand how age plays a role in video games before the age of like 40. It’s all about the grind and mindset of not getting burnt out. It’s the drive.

Younger players tend to have faster reaction times and better hand-eye coordination etc but there are exceptions, we see the same thing in sports. It also depends on the game, starcraft or dota players can have a longer carrer due to the game relying more on experience. Another huge factor like you mentioned is the amount of time someone has to commit to staying at the top level and without correct care of health it can easily lead to fatigue and health issues. Esports is still young and in the next decade we will probably be seeing players prolonging there carrers with improved mental and physical coaching to keep them healthy.

​@Electro_Adv my PC runs RL at 400fps. My monitor is only 165Hz though. But if I had a higher refresh rate monitor, those frames would matter more. But even so, when I play on my friends series x, it's a noticeable downgrade, for sure. Not to mention imput lag. It's not a crazy difference but playing on a good pc with a good display definitely makes a difference, for any game

Basically practice. Scrims are when teams play each other in private matches ahead of a tournament to get ready for it. The games are usually a lot more sweaty than even ranked cus it's all pro teams trying to perfect game plans and stuff
