DO NOT REMOVE BARNACLES FROM SEA TURTLES! It does a lot more harm than good. It hurts the turtle a lot, can cause significant damage and removing multiples at once is extremely stressfull to the point where they can just die from stress alone. PLEASE dont do this. If you have a sea turtle which for whatever reason needs barnacles removed just put them in fresh water the barnacles will fall off after a couple hours with 0 dmg done to the turtle.

Just a quick PSA, if you ever encounter a sea turtle with a lot of barnacles like that, DO NOT peel them off yourself. You could cause irreparable harm and not fix the underlying cause. Calculating the depth of the coal well : Time taken for rock to reach ground ~ 8 seconds Now applying high school kinematics formula : s=ut+(at²)/2 Where, s is displacement , u is initial speed , a is acceleration due to gravity=~9.81 m/s² , t is time taken As initial speed is 0 ignoring the term (ut) Plugging values s = (9.81)8²/2 Which calculates out to be 313.92 i.e. around 314 meters. (If air resistance not considered due to small time interval) The coal well was around 314 meters deep.

5:41 I wouldn't say "saved". For that animal, there could be two posibilities: 1. The turtle was caught and glued some fake barnacles ('cause they are being removed way too easily) and crabs to feel like it's being "saved" and get some interactions on social media 2. The barnacles and crabs are in fact real. If that's the case, living creatures won't stick like that or follow that turtle without a reason. That turtle may be in the risk of death because some illness and the lifeforms attached to it are waiting for the animal to pass away just to scavange on the rests Edit: grammar
@bookllama81582 сағат бұрын
I was looking for this comment. From what I heard, there are lots of channels faking these kinds of turtle rescues and it's actually really rare for turtles to be covered in barnacles like this. It would also be very painful to remove them, so you shouldn't do something like this if you don't know what you're doing. I also doubt a proper animal rescue organisation would just immediately throw the turtle back into the sea without monitoring its health for a little longer.

6:44 "Why is he standing like this?" Because it's a zoo. The animals are trapped inside of areas that are way too small for them. They get bored and depressed and start doing weird stuff. There are a whole lot of videos of animals doing very wierd things because of that. It's called zoochosis. And it's heartbreaking to see.

Yeah it's an awful sensation with your whole body inside of a warm pool with ice cold rain drops falling on top of your head.
@thoubiasСағат бұрын
Yeah, the droplets are cold and not fun, also water flowing over the face is not fun and makes breathing less easy. That is why being in rain sucks less when you are absolutely soaked than it does before that, and that is why wearing an umbrella or even just a simple cap while it rains is still more comfortable than not even if you are already completely wet - or even when you are sitting in a pool or hot tub.
