How we're saving money heating our greenhouse this winter!

This is our first winter with our Backyard Discovery Willow greenhouse, so it's also our first time heating it! Here's how we're approaching heating our greenhouse, including everything from insulation and the sun during the day to a small greenhouse heater with an auto on/off thermostat.

i heat mine with a chineese diesel heater whit electricity cost in belguim at over 0.30 cents i had to look in to somthing other than elec

Oh wow! For us here, this seems to be the most effective way to heat it...first electric bill wasn't much higher than normal, however, I think it would be outrageously expensive if we kept it higher than the low to mid 40s at night!

How warm does it get in the green house on a cold day?

Believe it or not, we have had sunny days in the high 20s where it has broken 70 in the greenhouse for a few hours!! Most days, even overcast ones, it gets up into the 50s and 60s despite cold temps outside. As I write this, it's 28 degrees outside and very windy, and 46 degrees in the greenhouse at 9:30 AM. It usually starts rising around 10 AM and holds until about 2 PM. I love the little bluetooth thermometer I can track on my phone!
