Great tour of the dairy and parlour, strange to me though not hearing the pulsators, sounds abit alien to me, in our parlour it was very noticeable and quite a nice rhythm to work too, we had the same jar system and air switches as you but it was fitted to a 6x6 abreast .

I would help my dad sometimes (help a loose term) he would always have the radio on and the hose handy for when I got a treat on the head. I would then get my head hosed off and sent home to mum.

Nice set up lad you milking many I found when we milking we let hiefeires run with cows from August on get them in for bit of feed in parlour be quite as mouse come spring

Patrick Oconnell well Patrick, we let our heifers walk through the parlour at there own ease a few times and drop a little meal in the feeders for them. Works a treat

Great simple setup. Just wondering how you wash out a jar after a cow with antibiotics if the next cow is going into the tank.

Very very interesting indeed. Wouldn't have a clue about dairy but found you explained things very well! Enjoyed the video. What's the reason for the barrier straight outside the door the cows go out? Is there a reason to get them to turn right after exiting?

Bambinohead1 Thank you, the parlour floor is a lot higher than the yard at the exit, so rather than having a step we put in a ramp to the right, if we put the ramp straight out the cows could slip especially in frosty conditions, the barrier slows them down and prevents that.

What do u use to wash out the palour after milking power washer or something else ?? Can you do a video on it please, palour is spotless

Claire Behan we normally just use the ordinary hose that’s from the local water scheme, it gets a full pressure wash every 2 months and a chemical rinse to keep algae away

DarLav kick bar is there but never used, cows are very quite thankfully, our heifers be the same. A lot of handling in the right manner seems to work well.
