It was a fantastic and amazing last day in Italy during our 10 days European travel. The highlight was a visit to the historical and cultural sights of the city of Milan.
Milan, a metropolis in the northern Lombardy region of Italy, is a global capital of fashion and design. The Gothic Duomo di Milano or the Milan Cathedral and the Santa Maria delle Grazie convent, housing Leonardo da Vinci's painting "The Last Supper", testify to centuries of art and culture.
We have been eye witnesses to the wonders of this beautiful and vibrant city with a rich history and culture. It boasts of an amazing architecture from the Duomo di Milano, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the Castello Sforzesco, and the Santa Maria delle Grazie, among others.
There are other places to see in Milan if only we have an extra day or two to explore the city. On top of these, Milan has been our home base when exploring Lake Como, Venice and Bergamo.
