Pro tip about the fiberglass in your skin . Use Vinegar, saturate a rag and wipe it on your skin, it will sting for a few minutes but thats about it. After you take the sting as long as you can wipe it off and do it again. I promise you it literally liquefies the fiberglass particles Into water. I hope you read this comment and use this information. I was a commercial insulator for 15 years in Memphis, and learned this trick from a veteran insulator that use to insulate submarines. I love watching your content and will be getting a boat soon. You have inspired me tremendously sir. All the best to you and your friends. I can't wait for the next episode.

The materials used are pretty nasty in insulation on boat industry and vehicle. My uncle worked with it. I remember him saying always use masks and protective suits regardless of heat.Better sweat than sorry after some time...health is more important than a damn boat.

Colin, I've watch every episode from the start to the finish. I'd just like to say your to hard on yourself. That molded patch section from what I could tell was spot on. nothing is perfect when you work with fiberglass. If I was in the market for a refurbished boat or even one that had just been salvaged. I'd want someone like you (or even you) and your team to be the ones to survey it and do the repairs on it and bring it back to factory specs. You don't mess around, you don't cut corners, you do things the right way, When your done from what I've seen its better than it was out of the factory. I look forward to your project in Panama.

You are doing well with only a factor of two for actual time compared to planned time. A factor of three occurs often enough and is still realistic. Any kind of repair or refit contains a certain amount of discovering previously unknown facts, little or big. Good luck and best wishes, all this will help with Parlay!

I have been a fiberglass laminator for 30 years on and off, at the moment I work at Riviera Luxury Boats on the Gold Coast in Australia, it is so good to see a PROPER job being done, and the correct materials being used the right way. So sick of seeing back yard bodge jobs. This will be a good honest boat for whoever gets it in the end. Nice work.
