Nice video. A common side dish in the Philippines is macaroni salad: just use boiled macaroni noodles, shredded boiled chicken or ham bits, cheese cubes, pineapple bits (you can buy sweetened ones in a can or just use peaches if you can't find any), raisins, hard boiled egg, celery, carrot and mix it all with mayonnaise.

Hi Olya, when we grill marinated meats on the hot coal is we brush the meat with left over marinated mixture to the grilled meat while grilling them. It adds more flavor and moisture and the meat will not go dry.

I'm really fascinated with all the beautiful and shady trees in your city and thinking how nice it would be to sit and read a book or just have conversation under one of them. It looks like a city for literary people. Well I did some research and was pleasantly surprised to find out Staraya Russa was a summer retreat place of the writer Dostoevsky and it was an inspiration for a fictional city in his novel The Brothers Karamazov. The houses and the building are beautiful. Your place is so quiet and clean. I love the trees and the flowery plants. I feel I am in Russia while watching your video. Andrey is considering to comeback here in October maybe you can join them. Marinate overnight the pork or chicken so that the barbecue will become more yummy. The excess marinate sauce brush it on the top of the pork or chicken while grilling you can smell it's aroma.

A common barbeque marinade that we make is a combination of soy sauce, sprite or 7up, ketchup, a bit of sugar, Calamansi, garlic, pepper. We have Sarsiado, Sweet and Sour fish, Relyeno Bangus, deep fried fish as common ways of cooking fish. It's nice to see the whole family have bonding time. ❤

Olga you can make your own Filipino barbeque marinade, try to search on KZbin there's a lot of Filipino barbeque marinade to choose from. although they are not available the Mama Sitas in your supermarket. much better try to make your own marinade it's very simple and easy. 🥰❤❤👍👍👌

Basic BBQ marinade is soy sauce, lemon or vinegar, ketchup, brown sugar, crushed garlic, chopped onions, crushed black pepper. But I also add 7-Up to mine. It helps tenderize the meat. Marinate for at least 2-4 hours, but overnight is much better. Try it.

Since your husband is a fisherman (joke only, but true: he looks quite a catch, four you only😉), there’s one Filipina vloger I watch who chose to go back to the Philippines in Siargao with her Australian family whose new livelihood is fishing. Family barbeque in the backyard is always special. Maybe if you vacation in the Philippines with your family for a few months, you can rent a small house and have a great time in your yard with you family, even for just a few, short months.
