How will a Amazon Chinese carburettor work on an older STIHL FS80 String trimmer

I tried one of those on my Crap Tire snow blower from 1985. Ya they work but not as well as the original. So I took the parts off the Amazon carb that I needed to get the original carb running better. So one good thing is you have parts that were not expensive.

All i do is get a rebuild kit and break the carbs down and run em in my uktrasonic cleaner. Unless there is excess wear on the carb throttle shafts where it could ve sucking in more air throwing off the air fuel mix ratio. I wouldnt replace the whole carb. Also if your moxing a hair too much oil in the gas it will plug up the spark arrestor screen on the miffler quicker then you think. My nephew bought a nice stihl weed whacker cheap i put a new clutch in it a new feed head because the guy took it off to keep as a spare. Then cleaned the carb and took off the spark arrestor screen and it runs great!!

I just run a battery trimmer put money fwd from carb jobs to it.

Spoke with a Stihl dealer, He says that a lot of there stuff is now built in China and is now crap. He recommended Echo brand equipment made in Japan?? He sold both brands.

Those trimmers are made in USA. For the money you can buy 3 china carbs plus all the filters and gaskets for the price of one Stihl carb, which is made in China.
