Ruby raw is a legend for what she's doing and we need more of that right now everywhere in the world.

It would be hilarious if the Tories were to use mental health as an excuse as to restrict measures that would protect physical health; given that they've decimated mental health services over the past decade.

Really glad you're doing OK and long may it continue dude. I do get where you're coming from (I'm an Aspie), but a lot of my spectrum friends have suffered very badly due to heightened anxiety and disruption to their schedules. Itt's especially important in these troubled times for traditionally marginalised folks such as those with various forms of ASD to look out for each other!

If you have me/cfs/chronic condition that is inflammatory based, Sarah myhill's books have helped me. i was bedbound 90% at my worst. At my best, i have twice done a 5hour walk and it's been just that bit too much n caused relapse XD -.- 2 months ago, i was struggling. i was suicidal and i think i lost my sanity briefly. i remember going outside raging at the moon screaming n crying every night for a whole week in the local footie field XD Qi gong helped, sitting in the park helped. Learning about cptsd etc helped. Learning some of the wise taoist stuff helped. Reducing self hate and increasing 'self love' helped. I also used to dance to music in whatever capacity i had. Channel emotions into something creative/artistic and for god's sake meditate if ur not already XD though some find selfhypnosis is better re rewiring negative thought patterns via CBT/NLP techniques, learning about that might help distract you, its a fascinating subject. Erik erikson and milton erikson are the 'godfathers' of therapeutic hypnosis i believe i recall

Oh my, how lucky I was. I was primed for these days! Grew up as an only child, was alone as a teenager, spent much of my younger years alone. Maybe it's not surprising I have coped with these lockdowns quite well so far. But as for other people.....i just dont know!!

I have Aspergers and a hard time dealing with society and the neurotypical population, and when you see people saying 4 weeks of lockdown is like prison and gonna drastically change their life, maybe they should think about those who have mental health problems who actually live in lockdown majority of their life because they find it hard to deal and fit into this society and lifestyle, and I mean actual mental health diagnosis like Bi polar, autism, schizophrenia etc not just mere depression from not getting enough social contact 😐

How is being locked down going to make someone traumatized? This world is getting so weak. The people just need to sleep longer, watch tv, learn how to cook, do all of the other tasks that they couldn't do before because they were so busy working and not having time for a life. If anything the people should come out of lockdown a better person. I know I am, I have lost over 5kg and been walking 4-5km per day. I am sleeping better, reading more, and learning more. It's hard, but this is the new way of life, accept it, don't try and bring back the past, because it's gone.

@voodoocrackdealer68683 жыл бұрын
I'm really glad your experience of lock down has been a constructive one. Clearly you have not considered the plight of people who were already suffering from severe mental health issues, a recent life crisis or preexisting disability however.
@thornwebdesign3 жыл бұрын
@@voodoocrackdealer6868 no that's right I would not understand. I sometimes think about how awful it was for the children that I gave my freshwater to every day in Basrah in 2006 as I was returning from the patrols that we did through the city and then trying to laugh and joke about being shot and bombed all day at a night time with my fellow co-workers. Otherwise, you are right, I would not know about trauma.

I know that some people miss being around other people. I don't, as I'm not fond of my species. Why would I wish to be around other members of the human race? The species that infests our planet with overpopulation of people who over consume, over endulge, over pollute? I do not desire to spend time with rapists. The natural world and the animals in it are far superior company. Try it. You will not be lonely once you divest yourself of the things and people you think you must have, to invest yourself in those marvelous things Mother Earth provides.
