How will my tattoos look when I'm older? I get this question a lot and In this episode I will answer that question. I'll be doing this by showing you some of my tattoos that are years and even decades old. I got my first tattoo when I was 30 and I'm still getting tattooed today at 59.

This was really something I needed to see and hear. I’ve been wanting to get tattoo(s) for a couple years now, and I have some serious anxiety about getting the ‘right’ kind of tattoo. Hearing all over the internet about ageing and fine line work and watercolor and all these things they tell you to watch out for and be careful about, my brain had convinced me that within a year my tattoo would be a ruin. It’s really nice to see some tattoo positivity and your vibe is very calming and reassuring. I’m going to get a tattoo I want and makes me happy. The future will be fine. It’s allright. Thank you.

I got my first tattoo at age 56 … I am now 60 (and have grey hair!) and after getting my first tiny tattoo of bird foot tracks that run from my wrist across onto my daughters (she asked me to get a tattoo with her) I’ve since had a wrist band of a fern with my son having a shoulder fern, and then a wrapping botanical tattoo over most of my lower arm and down to the base of my thumb. Oh! And my inner ear tattoo vine too 🙂. My next one is booked for April and it’s a pleasure to send designs between us for thoughts ( my husband of 35 years has no tattoos but likes me to do my own thing if it makes me happy, my sister tut tuts and purses her lips and makes comments about regrets later etc., when I’m 61 this year!!). I love all my tattoos, often get complimented on them esp by younger people… it’s my own generation who throw the shade. So glad to see another lady enjoying her tattoos ,,, even though you’re still younger than me 😂

I love this video! I like your take on cover ups, yes I have tattoos now that I love but some are single needle so I know they might fade but I can change it if they do fade and blur out! Thanks for sharing this video. I’m 54 and got my first tattoo at 53, I actually have 10 of them now. I want a heart on my ring finger but my artist refuses and says that finger tattoos blow out within a couple of months and leave an ugly mark. I was disappointed and still want it, but I trust his expertise. I’ve gotten so many comments about why I waited so long in life to get tattoos and piercings. I’ve been divorced for 4 years and for some reason my tattoos/piercings are very liberating and they belong to me forever. 💜

Hi there and I always say this. Getting tattoos is a personal journey and we discover that at different times so there is no “right time” to get a tattoo - it’s when you are ready. I have a hand tattoo that goes down my finger, I’ve don’t have any fading on mine. I’ve heard they are tricky tattoos to do so maybe find someone who is comfortable doing them - if you are comfortable going to a different artist.

I love this!! I got my first tattoo when i was 20. Then i had my first kid at 21 and kinda forgot about tattoo's. Then i had a stillborn baby boy when i was 28. I got my second tattoo for him when i was 30. Then another one for him when i was 31. And then i forgot again about tattoo's. But last december i turned 40 and it started to itch again for another tattoo, so i went and got my 4th tattoo. Now a few months later I'm going for number 8 tomorrow 🙈 it's true what they say, you really live a second life when you hit 40 🤣 I don't really think about how my tattoo's will look when I'm getting olded, I'm just enjoying them. Two, regret with age will likely come regardless of tattoo status, tattooed or not, so long as I dont care for my body. Young Lady I absolutely L❤VE YOU. I’m 54. Tatted / pierced. I originally felt that I shouldn’t continue to get tattoos. My children are tatted also , very supportive. I am very adventurous, my boyfriend just got his first tattoo 2 yrs ago. He got his first piercing a couple of Mo. ago. I am 53 years old and recently got my first tattoos. Personally I am glad I didnt get them when I was young, as my tastes have changed alot. LIfe is not a rehearsal. So if you want tattoos then go for it. When I am really old I will be proud of them and have good memories when I look at them. I'm about to have my 3rd. This was an enjoyable way to spend the last few minutes my thanks to you lovely lady for that. I began with my first tattoo forty years ago in my early thirties. That's when the addiction started and I've never found a cure - not that I've tried very hard to find one. Right now, I'm doing some research on what I'd like my next tattoo to be. The choice is difficult even limiting what I would like to just the subjects that have a personal relevance in my life. Even so, any of those could number in dozens - not much help there. Choosing is fun though and maybe that will be the extent of it -who knows?🙂

Hello ! Thank you very much for your video ! 😍 I saw your video about taking care of your tattoos to make them look great throughout the years. I was wondering, to protect them from the sun do you put sunscreen in this situations : -when you are inside ? -inside with no sun outside ? -when you wear sleeves on a sunny day ? -in winter when there is sun ? I put sunscreen on my hand and arms daily. I have them other places, but I know they will be covered by my clothes. Even on cloudy days, our tattoos are getting sun so that's why I use it daily.

I like the vibrant colors of your tattoos and you're right you have to recolor tattoos every couple years to keep it vibrant and bright that's what I've been doing and I was surprised to hear you say that I'm covered up with tattoos I have a full body suit and I've been recoloring it whenever I want to because as time goes on it does Fade Out depends if you are in the sun all the time but when I'm in the sun I usually use a long sleeve to cover it up or put a sunblock and I avoid the Sun when I'm riding my Harley I have a jacket on but yeah have to recolor tattoos if you want to keep it really nice and bright keep up the good work hope to see more of your videos

I got my full sleeve at 34 I didn’t want anymore I had about 5 in my 20s so I wanted to get them removed they weren’t big but I thought ok I’m don’t want them anymore then in 2010 my mom died in a car accident and the pain and everything that I went through losing her I was like I’m getting a sleeve I’m getting meaningful tattoos and I did I don’t regret anything but most people still look at me like omg why, love your video.

Thank you so much! The best advice I can give you is this. I look at my tattoos like time stamps. They remind me of who I was and where I was in life at that moment. I love my life journey so I continue to love each and every one of my reminders. We get told over and over again that you won't like them when you older and that's a bunch of 💩. How you feel about your tattoos now is how you will feel about them when you are older. Enjoy your beautiful art now and don't worry about when you are older ❤

I'm 51 and female and got my first tattoo 3 months ago, on my forearm, thinking that would be the only one. I liked it, and the experience of getting it, so much that I went back twice more in the next month and got 6 more in varying sizes on that same forearm. One thought I had about starting my tattoo journey at 51 was, Hey at this age I don't have to worry about how they'll look when I'm older, because I'm already "older"! lol And I "think" I'm done getting tattoos, but who am I kidding ?! (I also got 5 ear cartilage piercings for the first time ever, when I turned 50. I wanted them since I was about 25, but had always been scared to get them)

Hustle Butter Balm is great for both color & black/white ink tattoos. UVA and UVB sunscreen 30 or above every 2 hours for prolonged sun exposure. #1 is to drink plenty of water to help you and your skin stay hydrated. I got my first tattoo at age 22, currently age 35 and it still looks like the way it healed with no fading. It also has very fine line details. Hope these tips help.

I got my 1st tattoo at 30yrso back in 2019 and my 2nd tattoo just May this year, I'm 34 now!!! I do plan on getting more, it's just the trying to save up and come up with the money for the tattoos!!! I do need to get my 2nd tattoo which is on my left forearm from my wrist up to my inner elbow, a touch up, hopefully he won't charge me for it, I also asked someone else if they could do it and said it'd come up to $350 for me, my 2nd tattoo alone was $500 and my 1st one was $60, which is the pfp of my KZbin page!!!
