There is one thing I want for terrain, that’s a Mountain/Hill tool, would make it so much easier for terrain coasters.

I'm so excited to see how Frontier plans to do it with the props/assists without the toolkit. We need all of that for detailed backstage areas, parking lots etc... From what I've seen in videos so far, a few things are still missing, like the ATM, lamps for the middle of the path with two lights, benches with backrests and of course brown mulch for flower beds🤩 Apparently you can't select multiple parts with Shift or delete paths with a right mouse click. Hope that's included before the release 💪 And when I see Planco1, it still looks good, by far my most played game on steam❤

I've been saying this since day 1: the smoothness of the coasters isn't really that bad in planet coaster. If you take a little time and take a moment to actually learn the game and use it as intended, you can make a pretty decent coaster. No 4meter or 1meter technique needed. Could it be better? Sure. Can you make an absolute horrible bumpy ride? Absolutely. But it isn't as bad as a very small minority of players is very loudly screaming about all the time.
@mitchtellers25473 ай бұрын
Lol, for me I'm always worried that I will use _too much_ smoothing and accidentally ruin a segment that I intentionally want forceful or janky.

Something that always bugged me is it looks like the camera snaps to a certain angle when banking, it doesnt always happen, but it reminds me of RCT3 when turning and the camera snaps to the angle of the bank.

If you use the bumper camera instead of the guest camera it’s a lot better

What are your thoughts on the fact Frontier has uploaded staff spotlights for all Planco 2 staff EXCEPT the ride operator and now they've just moved on to posting ads for ingame brands(which hopefully means billboards are returning).

Maybe a little off-topic, but I really love airtime moments on inverted coaster. I've ridden two B&M inverts and the one that focuses on airtime(Oziris from Parc Asterix) was much better than the one that doesn't(Phaethon from Gyeongju World).
@JulesKennedvitch3 ай бұрын
I agree ! The one at Parc Asterix is amazing. But I was not a fan of Black Mamba at Phantasialand and Nemesis at Thorpe Park though as they’re less airtime focused.

Interesting excercise rudi, cant wait for the follow up video using planco 2. I do really hope the building window dissapearing and the gizmo staying with the last piece you added is fixed ASAP, like before the game releases. If not we are going in for a rude awakening becuase building is gonna go a lot slower. Im pretty sure the menus dissapearing leaving the whole screen clean was made to "beautify" the game when building, but unfortunetly, that design choice came form someone that havent seem to build much in Planco 1, and that worries me.

I have PC2 on my wishlist and to my shame, despite owning PC1, I've never really played it. I found the building too intimidating. Perhaps it's time I give it a go before PC2 releases! Hope you're having a great weekend Rudi. o/

Personally, I find that working with longer track pieces generally keeps the coaster smoother. It FEELS like the camera shifts every time it gets into a new track piece, so shorter pieces result in more janky camera shaking. And unless you like, hyper-4mMethod, it creates more clunck than it smoothes out. But then again, that’s just my personal feelings. I also really like just watching you make these kind of relatively simple builds :) Also Also, PlanCo 2 has the building and scenery tabs mixed right? I understand that the shops are their own tab but that I prefer personally, so that the utility and the way to theme the utility are split. But all of the theming pieces are in the same tab from all I’ve seen.

I think it would be cool if mechanical engineers, or roller coaster designers would use planet coaster 2 as a rough draft.

@@mrporg2240 Even if you have to spend more time on NoLimits 2 the results are way more accurate and more realistic. There is no reason for coaster designers to use Planet Coaster. NoLimits 2 is already the perfect program, even for rough drafts.

i feel like this would work better as a flying coaster instead of a b&m invert

I'd say a name that brings the connection between old and new, the past and the future, since it's comparing two games. How about: "TimeLock"?

I totally get what you say about pc1. I currently got back to the game just to get the feel of it again, and you are so right about how it looks and feels with the pieces. And o boy, I'm so annoyed with the placement of the pieces compared to pz. Hopefully, they will be placed better

It would also be interesting to build a coaster in PC2, and then go back and see how long it would take to build the same coaster just as smooth in PC1 and compare times. Even better if you compare with and without mods to see just how much easier it is to make smooth layouts in PC2 vs PC1.

Nice to see Planco1 again. I am more in to Planco1. Than Planet Zoo, have played Planet Zoo, but it not get me like Planco1 did and RollerCoaster Tycoon 1 to 3 did. Have already pre-ordered Planco2. Tomorrow is only one month again to release date. Hope we will see mutch more of Planco2 the next days and weeks, Planco1 we get very mutch content up to a year before release.

I'd like to hear from console players how the new ui compares to the ui from the older Planet games' console ports. Obviously it causes issues on PC but does it actually improve the console versions, or is the ui just a lemon on all platforms? I also got thinking about Planet Zoo's staff-only paths, and when you really think about it... the staff-only paths really don't make a lot of sense for Planet Coaster. They make sense for Zoo since there is a lot of backstage maintenance involved in the gameplay regarding caring for animals and their habitats, but for Coaster it would be nothing more than eye candy for an uber-realistic Disney-style park. At some point its better to cut out redundant systems like that and use your imagination to "fake it" instead, lest the game becomes too bogged down.
