The use of more currencies is an indisputable truism! The BEST WAY is valided ALL CURRENCIES at the SAME LEVEL. Discarding the dollar by creating another currency in its place is exchanging 6 for half a dozen. Swap the right for the doubtful! Another currency means DISCARDING other currencies from dozens of countries. This would scare those interested, as currency is national sovereignty and speculators would dictate the rules. BRICS, through its bank, must act as a moderator, guarantor of the contracts. Through EXCHANGE HEDGE, or some contract insurance. Example: an importer imports goods from Russia valued at 10 million rubles, let's say 3 million reais on the day of purchase. Through currency hedging, BRICS BANK guarantees that the parties receive exactly what is in the contract, regardless of the term. If the importer in this case wants to pay with Saudi Arabian currency, that's fine, with African currency, nothing changes. This Brics Bank guarantee would include any currency in the world, even for countries that are not part of the bloc. Including the US dollar. Dedollarizing does not mean MARGINALIZING any currency, otherwise it is not a serious thing.

I wouldn't mentioned SDR in relation to BRICS because SDR is USD-based. BRICS common currency is not union currency as EUR but more as a unit of account for trade, e.g. ECU and СЭВ (Council for Mutual Economic Assistance ) ruble. It is expected that BRICS common currency will be digital and pegged to gold (even certified bullions). Any country (include USA) will be able to joint this new digital ecosystem to use its national currency for cross-border payments. National currencies will stay within their national jurisdictions. BRICS common currency will be used for exchange between other currencies purposes and be hidden for the end-users.

Foreign currencies should fairly be tied to the inflation as live interest rates of each country. Each importing country would pay that interest rate to each country holding that country’s currency. Bankruptcy would necessitate the countries resources of value before said action.

Do not confuse dedollarisation with RMB internationalisation. RMB will not replace USD or Euro for international trade settlement, but the gold backed BRICS currency will take a huge chunk of the pie. The BRICS currency is the only non fiat currency. I think the best way forward for non US dollar transaction is to use the Chinese gold backed Yuan as a medium of exchange . China will be encouraged to buy heavily from these nations instead of from non BRICS nations. This way most countries will have enough Yuan to trade among themselves. Brics just announced it will be backed by gold. If its not a physical currency then I dont know how that will work. If its not physical then that means each currency will be backed by gold. Either that or the gold backing is a lie.

If I understand you well if you say BRICKS currency is not going to replace local currency but it will be used for foreign trade which means it will be used against countries outside BRICKS+, in that way peoples in local BRICKS+ nations will be using local currency by buying whatever they will be buying at a reasonable low prices?
