The "message" in these videos is loud and clear. Males have the power and the main purpose of the females is as scantily-clad sexual objects to be degraded. The record executive indicates that their job is to "entertain"--so he takes no responsibility for the damage the sexual objectification/degradation of women does both women and men. Music videos, movies, advertisements, and TV shows reflect but also greatly IMPACT the "culture". So you end up with a culture where both men AND women consciously and/or subconsciously "buy in" implicitly to the misogynistic message. The same goes for the racist messages in our movies, TV, advertisement, etc. It is possible to have great dancing in the video without the misogyny.

How could he even SAY that!? I have a teenaged daughter. I am EXTREMELY protective of her. People are wrong to make assumptions about something they know nothing about. It sounds as though you're worried about other people's opinions about you more than what you think of yourself and know to be true. That's in my opinion, is a small example that fits the big picture. Women are more worried about fitting in and having approval than standing strong and living from within. Nothing will change until women themselves do. I am a woman by the way.

Very sad, indeed. Another thing that must be taken into consideration, is how men are taught to only find women who dress scantily attractive. On their part, they have to be steered away from such images of women. WE need to show them that that is not all that we're made of AND they need to accept that that is not all women are for: sex.

But usually when poor parenting isn't the factor to this kind of problem a lot of it has to do with the kind of environment they grew up in or the things they see on TV and magazines. You can't always expect the parents to tell their daughters what to watch and what type of music not to hear the same way they did when their kids were younger. Lately the media has been filled in with sex, drugs and women dressing half naked even celebrities that kids idolize are taking this type of lifestyle.

One is well articulated and seems to know what he's talking about, but being a CEO he's so far from the environment that he lacks the day-to-day insight. The other is clumsy, has a hard time getting his message across, is overly optimistic, but has day-to-day work in the environment. His final comment is actually a great closing statement : Find happiness.

God forgives people who prays and asks for it with the upmost humble cry and really wants to change. In other words you can't take advantage of God's way of forgiving. you can't do a bad thing, ask for forgiveness, and still do it because you know God will forgive everytime. You have to really want it and really want to change. God knows that man aren't perfect so He's always willing to look at the heart and forgive when asked. God knows the heart. He's always there for you. He loves you.

Yes, i agree that SOME women know that it may be wrong, and that we are seeking male attention.it is in our nature to want to feel as part of a group. Im assuming that you're not a girl(correct me if im wrong) it's social pressure to be such and such. It's just like how men are taught to not show emotions because that's a sign of weakness. Entertainment - that's all we want, entertainment. Yes, and surely entertainment could - and more importantly SHOULD - be a vehicle for promoting and achieving female equality. Because, let's face it - it's not about the individual women, whether they want to be doing it or not - it's about whether women are nothing but sex objects, or whether they deserve RESPECT. How come men aren't portrayed in the same way? And does ANYONE really deserve to be depicted like that?
